since i live in OC i never have time to hang out downtown before or after a game, but before MTP, i already had day in DTLA planned with a friend and former LGKer who lives in the city. we had brunch at baco mercat and then drinks at spring st bar. the food and liquor choices are much better, service is great and you're supporting local businesses.

I sometimes hit up Octopus (7th & Flower by the red/blue line station) for late night happy hour. decent food (sushi and the like) for a decent price.
I also hit up Pizza next Door before day games with my kid nephew.
That or the taco truck in front of the Regal Theatre.

Qdoba on 7th and Hope has a dinner deal for two. $15 (I think) nets you 2 entrees, 2 soft drinks, and an order of chips & salsa. I eat here for lunch all the time. You will not leave hungry. The 50+ variety soda machine is SICK !!!! You will most likely see me there Monday before the game.

Il Mare has decent italian food at reasonable prices. Since it is on flower it doesnt get as crowded as the places at la live. They also have some good beers for $4.
