That one is still there last time I went by (Friday night). There are also ones in Adelanto, Redlands, Victorville, and Chino.

Good to know a major source for obesity in Southern Calif. is still in business. Damn they have some nice Chili Cheese Fries.

Fatburger - Because I usually don't have time to sit down for a burger, I don't hit FB as much I'd like. So when I have a choice, and the time, that's where I go.

Sonic - I treat Sonic the way non-Californians (and those few in Vegas) treat In-N-Out: I don't have one anywhere near me, so they're kind of a novelty. I had them for lunch on the way to FF, and hit them for a watermelon slush twice after that in LV.

Why? I can just pick up a prepared salad or sandwich, pay for it and start eating it. That's pretty fast to me.

I read in the Register this morning Sonic is expanding in the So Cal area.

As it turns out, he does. His Mission Viejo firm, Coast to Coast Commercial, owns the rights to build 12 stores over the next 6 years in Orange and Los Angeles counties.

Orange County will be the main focus, where demand is high, said Wesselink.

The Mission Viejo Sonic is scheduled to open in February. After that, Wesselink said he plans to build four more in Orange County. He’s scouting locations in Placentia, Foothill Ranch, Santa Ana and Stanton. Outside of Orange County, he and his business partners are looking at launching Sonics in Duarte, South Gate, Santa Clarita, Carson and Lakewood.
