Sailor Jerry is the tits! I went to Ralphs the other day and picked up a HUGE bottle of it. I gave it to my friend last Friday as a housewarming present. It is currently 1/4 full.

Another favorite that I used to have is a white russian with vanilla vodka. But I haven't had one since last frozen fury as I was drinking them nonstop for 16 hours straight. At one point, I had a double gulp cup full of vanilla russian. Needless to say, I ran into some trouble that Tonga and Hatter had to bail me out of.

Yes it is 2/3 OJ... as tradition among my friends has it you are supposed to layer it so the 1/3 cranberry goes in between the 2/3 of OJ. Since you mix it together I doubt it matters, but we've always mixed it that way.

My favorites are nothing fussy. Margarita on the rocks (good ingredients and no mix!!!) and mojitos (again no mix and none of the fruit variation bull****). I also started drinking vodka tonics and liked those quite a bit. That's been my drink of choice lately. Simple, with a squeeze of lime. As you can probably tell with those three drink selections, alcohol and lime is a winning combination in my book.

And Vodka and Red Bull

The proviso with any of these is that they be well made (encountered plenty of lousy ones over the years):
Margarita (on the rocks, generally) A local restaurant has a raspberry version (puree added) which was so good 24diving and I had the restaurant provide the food and drinks for our wedding reception.
Mai Tai Tropical fruits & rum - a winning combination.
Long Island Iced Tea A real quencher when made well, can be ghastly when botched...

But they can vary greatly, so a good one is amazingly good, and a not so good one is... less good.

I will only drink a mojito if it is made from Havana Club. Since that is illegal around these parts, I guess I am SOL.
