Thread: Andy Murray Fired

I just returned from a few days in the snow to find out about Andy Murray being relieved of his coaching duties. From a fan's perspective, Mr. Murray has always been a class act who was accessible and very friendly at the team's practices and events.

We at LGK wish Andy all the best in the future, he was always great to us and will be missed.

Welcome back! Yes AM was a GREAT coach with a warm personality. He will be missed, hopefully JT can be a good replacement.

I was supposed to be in Mammoth right now myself....but injuries caused the cancellation of my trip.

BTW - did you hear Pavol is having surgery as well?

Yeah I made it a point to turn off the phone. I still haven't checked the messages, I'm pretty bad about that. I'll have to read the threads. I know it can get pretty cruel here so I hope the fans showed him some gratitude for his time spent here.

It's always a shame when you know where someone's heart is, but the results come up as snake eyes... Andy as a person amazing... As a coach not the right fit.

I have shown him nothing but hate on the site, and still seethe about some of his coaching decisions.

But no one can question his efforts and his kindness. I wish him all the best.

Good luck to you A. Murray, I choose to remember the great gutsiest call I've ever seen when you pulled our netminder with 3 plus minutes left and came back to tie and then beat the red Wings a few years ago.......Your a good man .........I know you'll be coaching again..(Canuck's).

KINGS RULE

I feel bad for AM, but the players seemed to have tuned him out. His system seems to always work for the 1st half of the season, but the players always seem to run out of gas in the 2nd half. It was difinetly becoming a trend. The special teams were ultimately his down fall. Not sad to see JVB go. Best of luck to AM, but it was time for a change. 7 years with one team is a rarity these days in coaching.
