The Kings don't have three first-overall picks to trade or a new organization to transform into. We also have generations of failure beyond what the Nords had.

What do you seriously think is going to happen next year to make us any better? Or the year after that?

True enough, though they do currently have several top-5 draft picks in the organ-eye-zation, which they've never had in the past.

The cap is going to go down, and teams are going to have to offload quality players for a less-than-equitable return to stay under the cap? Lombardi will continue to draft quality players, and make trades to make the team better?

I seriously don't see how somebody can look at where the team and the pipeline were 2 years ago, and not see how much better things are today?

One thing about the Colorado breakdown. Do you think they would have been the same had they KEPT Theodore instead of trading him for Roy?

I'll tell you this. If Theodore is in net vs the Kings, the Kings win the Stanley Cup that year.

Jocelyn Thibault was traded to Montreal in a package for Patrick Roy, not Jose Theodore.
