Congrats Luc!
Dear Luc,
We broke into the league together and it has not been the same without you. Always remember your roots, and remember that L.A. will always be your home. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the teams you have been a part of. Most of all, thanks for the many happy moments you have brought to not only my life but many others. You are one of few sports figures that I consider a true role model.
Thanks,
Steve

Luc has been my favorite player and that is why my hockey number is 20 and why I go right to the front of the net to score my goals. Being a big collector I wish I had the money to buy some of this stuff.
Robitaille Auction Items
Meigray has his rookie jersey for 25K. Wish I had the money for that one.

I kinda wish he could have stuck around another season.
You always hate to see a player stay too long at the party but I really feel like he had another season or two in him. He might have gotten invigorated with the kids again, and probably would have been a positive influence in this depressing season. And maybe even passed Lemieux and Yzerman on the all time list. Afterall, even when everybody said he was "done" last year he still had 15 goals and that's better than a poke in the eye with a dull stick.
I guess I know better, but I just wish he could still be on the team.

I became a die hard Kings fan in 1984. One of the first things I would do when I got my Hockey News in the mail was look in the back at the QMJHL to see how Luc did that week. He put up 191 points or something like that. His linemate (I think his name was Guy Leveque) was right about the same.
I went to the forum to see the draft in 1988 and sat down at a table with Luc. There were about as many fans as there were players at that draft.. He told me about his summer and we were just two guys talking about hockey and life for about 30 minutes. We selected Martin Gelinas that year and Luc went up to the front to translate what Martin was saying.
Luc was a class act then and he is a class act now. He has been my favorite player since he broke into the league. I am glad he is still a part of this team.
I can't wait to see them hang his jersey up tonight. He deserves it.
Congratulations Luc!
