My daughter knows all the classics. She loves Aerosmith. Her first concert was KC and the Sunshine Band (don't laugh...still one of my favs!!). She hates the B52's, but at least knows how they changed my life. Her fav when she was 4-5 was the Beach Boys. She is quite proud of her eclectic taste as reflected on her listening devices. All the smart kids seem to love the classic bands. Never could get her to love Van Halen (Puckboy's fav) or ELO (my fav), although she is quite familiar with their music, too.

So did anyone else hear the interview with Stevie Nix and Uncle Joe on The Sound this weekend? She told the story of how "Stand Back" was written. I had no idea!

Apparently she was driving up to SB and heard Prince's "Little Red Corvette" on the radio. She basically wrote "Stand Back" around that song. Then she called Prince and told him, invited him to come to the studio, and he did. He then played some keyboards to the track, and then "he gave me one of those I-don't-really-know-you hugs, and left. Like a little spirit." LOL!

    Cool story, no?

On your list, I worked for the Beach Boys and ELO. Beach Boys was a touring funny farm but ELO was amazing. Jeff Lynne is an incredible talent.

My son has a crush on Taylor Swift. He's 6' 5" and only 20, so tall, blond, beautiful, smart and rich is very attractive. She is very sweet and fun, by the way. She was a special guest with us one night on the James Taylor tour last summer and she was a perfect addition the the show. She is in total awe of James and did a great duet with him on Fire & Rain.

"Beach Boys was a touring funny farm", why am I not surprised?

I bet you already knew my cool Stevie Nix story. Since you are "in the biz" and all that. Smarty pants!

What I disagree with was the fact that they had him on defense, where he played at B.U., and then a little at Manchester. Played "D" through the whole training camp, then they moved him to center at the start of the season. So I'm guessing these were his chances???
