Thread: Taking Smack from the Enemy and No Love from Versus

i'm canadian.

i grew up in BC where everybody and their pet dog is a Canuck fan, i loathed the Nucks for as long as i can remember, but something happend a few years back and i finally stopped hating them. i just said ***** it, i'm a hockey fan, i can watch the game and just enjoy it for no other point than just to watch the game. Now i've also been a kings fan for over 20years and for some reason i just can give up on them. i dont know why but when the kings win a game, i feel great. and when they lose i get pissed off.
its possible to be a fan of more than one team, i like the Caps right now, the Canucks and even the dreaded Montreal Canadiens. But no matter what, nothing gives me the feeling of watch a kings game and seeing them slaughter the other team, i guess i like the underdogs.

Kings. you know it, you can feel it.

doesnt matter what team they are playing i ALWAYS root for the kings...

its kings like having a wife, you love her to death... sure you like the other ones you could have had and you remember the good things about the girls you had before your wife.... but they just dont feel the same as the old wifey.

Carla, I totally understand where you're coming from with this post! There have been many times when I've had to explain to people why I route for the Kings and how they will soon be a powerhouse t contend with. When that day comes, we can all sit back and laugh at them!


And Nemmy, I'm sure you've noticed by my name that my loyalties lie elsewhere, and I have to agree with those that say if you are to like two teams, then you definitely have to favor one at some point. I love going to games and routing for the Kings, but as soon as the Men in teal roll into town, my true colorss shine through

... then you will understand that on those games when the teal men show up, well.... we Kings' fans, okay me, will have to hate you... (Does it count that this will be a six game hate only unless the teams meet in the play-offs and then... all bets are off.)

I can join you. I hate the Wings too... and their fans during Kings' games even more...

I call BS. You are a Ducks fan. Period. You may have liked the Kings...but you clearly jumped on the Duck Bandwagon. You are a bandwagon fan. Which there is nothing wrong with that. As long as you support your team during the down times. Such as us Kings fans. Up until recently, the Ducks couldn't sell out a building unless they played the Kings or Redwings. Even their Cup season. Kings fans ruled the Pond. Now...well the bandwagon has a handicapped parking space right in front of the pond.
But the Ducks to their credit won the cup before us. Ok...it's a hard one to take. The Cup seems tainted now.
