Team Parts Ways With Avery After Incident (LA Times)
Sean Avery's brief and volatile career with the Kings came to an end after an argument with assistant coach Mark Hardy during practice Wednesday, a source with the team said.
"We're moving on without him," the spokesman said. "We have informed Sean of this."

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Over!!! I Just cannot understand how a NHL team can just fall apart at the seams. This is just ridiculous.

his antics were getting old...I loved his fire and his hustle (his skating ability was pretty high) but the penalties killed us. And for a team that has horrible special teams, we just can't do that.
Nobody took more minor penalties than Avery over the course of his tenure with the Kings and that kinda **** is gonna lose you games.
Anyway, let the scapegoating continue as DT searches for some way to save his job. I wouldn't be surprised if the team blows itself up in the off-season and tries again.
Can we start with a power play this time?

Last major decision for dave, his job rest on removing avery
a playoff berth would at least give General Manager Dave Taylor an argument to keep his job.
argument over, start clearing the desk...

To think Sean lasted the whole season before this! Maybe Mike Keenan can whip him into shape down in Florida.
Four words Sean....."Attend Anger Management Classes!"

Imploding from within!....
Sean you were more a crowd favorite than hated here in LA...I don't know what happened but the staff from DT to Bennett better go as well.
Hustled, hustled, took dumb penaltie's but called for **** ones as well but all in all, you told Political correctness to fuq off and I like it!
Even if Avery wasn't on this roster this season, the kings still would of sucked!.
Problem is ...managment...upper and lower.........I wish Bruce McNall was the man still!
Sean Avery You got hella talent , I know you'll chill and hold the words and show everyone how really good you really are.
Thanks for telling duck's Hayward what we all felt about him and hopefully your parting shot to this crappy coaching staff was this system sucks!...
Peace bro!

unfortunatly for Sean, hockey is a team sport and he rarely seemed to put his team first. He was a cancer on this team. Hopefully for Sean he can it it together and maybe revive his career somewhere else, he has the talent to do so if he can just keep his big mouth shut. Letting Ian Lappiere go to Colorado and keeping Avery was a HUGE mistake. I can't remember Ian ever turtling!!

Uhh, he has some skills that dont add up to crap when you consistantly put your team behind the 8-ball with dumbass penalties and off ice nonsense. The marginal calls are called K A R M A. Thats what happens when you flap your gums like Avery did. You get no benefit of the doubt from the refs.
He consistantly disrespected his team mates. He essentially stopped producing when it was clear he didnt want to play for Andy Murray any more. Thats not what a professional athlete making 1/2 mill a season operates. Unprofessional and expendable. Good bye Sean. You were amusing for a while, but like all chewtoys it got old 'Puppy' !
