Carla, I can appreciate that you want to write based on the fan mania you have for the Kings. That is a good thing. But players do not read this stuff/boards (as you hinted they probably don't). Although I am sure you are a great lawyer and such, you are way out of your league on NHL hockey player contracts and the player fraternity itself.

Other comments, if DL is running around making threats about other GM's signing his players it makes me laugh, laugh and laugh (can we get an Eddie Murphy chuckle here). Maybe Burke will give DL a shoulder to cry on. IMO the other GM's are eating DL's lunch and DL can't handle it because in my opinion he can't keep up and is old school. Pedigree?

If these threats continue DL will loose more respect from his players and he should be cut and sent to the minors, LOL

Competiion on the ice and in the Manager's office is a b*tch, aint it. If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen and let a real GM take over.

I respect your opinion. I never suggested that I am an insider and/or know the secret handshake in the players' fraternity. Nonetheless, I have watched how professional athletes handle their contracts, their agents and their choices. My perception is when a player is wanted and a player wants a contract with that team, contracts generally get signed. No doubt, there are exceptions.

I stand by my belief that it is a fair statement that in life, people can control their destiny or delegate it. Period.

She's simply saying if O'Sullivan wants to be a King, he should cut the sh**, pick up the phone, and make it happen. Sounds simple enough.

You're right, nobody knows anything about the situation. So why talk about it? I know why...because it's August and this is LGK.com and it's supposed to be fun.

Carla is just another fan with an opinion. I'm sure things will get worked out with O'Sullivan, and we'll all go to Vegas next month and enjoy some drinks and talk about the upcoming season.

I'm not arguing... I'm simply pointing out that she has slammed me on a number of occasions for not being based in reality while doing the exact same thing (or worse) all over the place.

BTW, Doc, you usually have very strong opinions on everything. You too, as many other LGK-ers, have started threads where you bitched and whined about "Stop posting this or that, because it's not realistic." Remember? And this Kansas City move has much lower probability than some of those things you hated so much on the LGK, that you called out everyone to stop discussing them. Come on, this attack on Carla was completely unnecessary, most of the reasonable LGK-ers share the same opinion with her - that Kansas move story is pile of ****. I don't know why this bothers you so much. Relax.
