i believe some people (and i'm not including the OP since she's newer) around here are forgetting that there WAS an LGK award created specifically for the sort of thing doc does (and most likely because of doc), which he did go on to win, of course.

your comments imply that O'Sullivan signed with Pat Brisson in the recent past so he could become some kind of money grubbing whore. In fact, O'Sullivan has been signed with Newport Sports Management, Inc. [based out of Mississauga, Ontario] for a long time. Pat Brisson and Mark Guy are both O'Sullivan's agents and have been for quite some time....since he entered the Ontario Hockey League.

The gist of my blog is that if the only quote I know of from O'Sullivan is still the case, that being that he has delegated his contract to his agent and he is wholly out of the process that he should become more a part of the process. The characterization you provided would not be my word choice. Precedent setting contracts as a goal is not even close to 'money grubbing whore'. Not to me anyway. :ummmmm:

Patience is a virtue. DL tipped his hand by trading Cammalleri. This strengthened O'Sullivan's position but also hopefully showed him what the organization thinks of him. DL has been unusually complementary of PO as a person too. I think everyone should just take a vacation and come back in a month to read about PO signing a short - or long - term deal.
