I don't know honestly. It was familiar enough for me to recognize it though when I first heard it so it wasn't too different.

Based on what I read about the "rules" they seem pretty fast and easy with them too.

    RE Greenwood:

According to the studio, the Academy's decision has also come, in part, due to a situation which arose with Nino Rota's score for "The Godfather" in 1972, which was pulled from the list of nominees after it was discovered that the film's love theme was used in another film, 1958's "Fortunella." The Academy would like to right a wrong now rather than withdraw a nomination further down the road. "The Godfather Part II" won the original score Oscar and featured the same love theme which rendered Rota's initial score ineligible.

So maybe it's just if the music is used for another score, then. I know Greenwood's was used in Bodysong.

    Lame.

Come on guys. Do you honestly think the old farts of the academy have any idea who the hell NIN is let alone realize that the score wasn't original?

Was REALLY hoping Zimmer would win Best original score, but I'm alright with Reznor and Ross winning it, I guess.

Very happy to see Inception pick up the technical awards.
Screw anything that has to do with The Social Network. You just like David Fincher. The King's Speech was better. Hell, Inception was better.

Colin Firth deserves the Oscar, when Javier Bardem learns to ****ing stutter like that, then he can have an Oscar.

Giving Reznor the Oscar for best score is a travesty like drowning puppies. Geezus, they couldn't have given it to Desplat???

It's plausible had they not made a score that sounded like Hans Zimmer did it. But if Daft Punk winning means not giving it to Reznor, then I'd take it.

Augh don't tell me that dude, it makes me even more pissed off.

He was left of the Globes' one too. I guess the Academy didn't get Corey Feldman's memo.
