Since massacre is the order of the day, the majority of 3D effects are of blood being sprayed across the screen. The droplets are so graphic one starts checking one's clothes for blood stains. Basically, any kind of small fragment that flies towards the frame works well, such as water droplets in a shot of crashing waves, or the gunfire and light rays emitted from machine guns and bombs that burst out like soldering in a shower of gold.
Other 3D rendering of flora and fauna or architecture stand out less, and have less to do with enhancing the plot, especially individual bushes that stick out like a sore thumb from the rest of the shrubbery, projecting an unnatural perspective.
All in all, this may not be the most eye-opening 3D experience, but at least it does not intrude on the narrative flow.

John Woo's attempt to revive LOST IN SPACE

Back in 2003/2004, four or five years after Stephen Hopkins' spectacular-but-lackluster big screen adaptation, John Woo directed a pilot for a proposed re-launch of Irwin Allen's LOST IN SPACE television series. It was called THE ROBINSONS: LOST IN SPACE.
The new series was not picked up, the pilot helmed by Woo never aired, and the producers of the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA reimagining eventually bought sets from this LIS pilot for use on their own show (notably for the Battlestar Pegasus, if memory serves).
Copies of this unaired pilot have been making their way through the underground circuit for years - although they were never particularly easy to come by. But now...some industrious and loveable Geek has slapped the whole thing onto YouTube - spread across five parts and presented in rational/aiight video quality - that are linked below (embedding was disabled on these files, otherwise I would post them here).
Have you ever seen this Adgy? Is it worth a look?
