I still think that looks awesome. They are really going to need to push it to get people to go see it. People hear 'based on an old French comic' it ain't exactly gonna fill seats.

Couldn't agree more. I imagine they're going to let critics review the **** out of it right before opening and hope that all the (presumably) positive reviews will move it along.

that is interesting. we went to the comics museum in brussels (le musée de la bande dessinée--not sure if that's the same one you are talking about) and they had tintin stuff but it was kind of rushed so i missed that fact. we spent most of our time in belgium drinking... lol.

not as much as you'd think. i HATE mayonnaise, but if you have fries with it, it's delicious. i still think fries with american mayo is hard to swallow, though. it's best if it's the homemade european version where the mayo is actually yellowish and rich tasting from the yolks and not the white congealed stuff you get in a kraft or best foods jar.
i actually made steak frites last night and we ate our fries with garlic aioli (mayo!) and beer.
like big joe, i didn't pick this habit up until my visit in france, belgium, luxembourg and holland. my husband's from that general area though so he's been eating it all his life and until the trip i took, i'd turn my nose up at it, too.

Hmm... I MIGHT be willing to give it a try, but... man, even just the word mayonnaise kind of makes me queasy, so it would be tough.

And I think it was just a Tin Tin museum, I don't remember seeing any other comics there, hard to remember. I too was drinking quite heavily. Them Belgians know how to make some fine beer.
