Winona Ryder is in Talks to Star in HOMEFRONT, Written by Sylvester Stallone and Starring James Franco and Jason Statham | Collider
Between this and the new Harmony Korinne flick where he plays a 'playah'...has Franco lost his damned mind. Oh, and The Other Guys says you are welcome for the whole GATOR thing.Winona Ryder (Black Swan) is in negotiations to star in Homefront, an actioner written by Sylvester Stallone. Ryder would star alongside Jason Statham and James Franco. The plot, based on a book by Chuck Logan, centers on an ex-DEA agent, Phil Broker (Statham) who moves his family to a small town in hopes of a quieter life. Instead, he runs afoul of a meth-pushing kingpin by the name of Gator (Franco). Homefront, directed by Gary Fleder (Kiss the Girls), starts production in New Orleans September 24th.
saw Expendables 2 last night. About what I expected - 2 hours of guns firing and stuff blowing up.
Couple concerns I had:
- Jet Li is only in the movie for about 3 minutes.
- All guns, not enough hand to hand combat. Van Damme didn't do much other than about one spin kick. His final fight with Stallone could've been way more drawn out.

New 'Killing Them Softly' Poster Blandly Reminds You That Brad Pitt Stars In The Picture | The Playlist
Have I ever mentioned how much the way the Weinstein Brothers rename films with bland titles annoys me??Adapted from George V. Higgins novel "Cogan's Trade" and set in New Orleans, "Killing Them Softly" follows professional enforcer, Jackie Cogan (Pitt), who investigates a heist that occurs during a high stakes, mob-protected, poker game. The film also features Scoot McNairy ("Monsters"), Ben Mendelsohn ("Animal Kingdom"), Ray Liotta, Richard Jenkins ("The Visitor"), with James Gandolfini, Vincent Curatola, Max Casella and Sam Shepard, among others.
Still excited as **** to see this, though.
