    Then...not.

It's damned near the same plot as Vince Flynn's book from the looks of it, yet Flynn isn't involved in any way. Bummer.

ERASED Trailer. ERASED Stars Aaron Eckhart and Olga Kurylenko | Collider

The first trailer for director Philipp Stolzl’s long-delayed action thriller Erased (formerly titled The Expatriate) has finally been released online. The film stars Aaron Eckhart as a former CIA agent who moves to Belgium with his estranged 15-year-old daughter (Liana Liberato) and takes a job as a security consultant at a multinational corporation. He soon discovers that his co-workers are gone, the corporation no longer exists and his assistant is actually a trained operative trying to kill him. The trailer gives off a very strong Taken vibe, and certain aspects of the pic actually look pretty interesting. That said, when a film has been sitting on the shelf for over two years, it’s usually not a good sign. One thing’s for sure, though: messing with people’s daughters is a good way to provoke a disproportionate (and unfortunate) response from the father.

Hit the jump to watch the trailer. The film also stars Olga Kurylenko and Alexander Fehling. Erased opens on May 10th.

PHANTOM Review. PHANTOM Stars Ed Harris, David Duchovny, and William Fichtner | Collider

REALLY want to see this. LOVE Ed Harris, and William Fichtner is in this too. Duchovny is cool, and Lance Henriksen makes a cameo too. Sub movies rule...can't get the lady to go to this, but I WILL be checking this on vod/dvd.

I agree on Olympus. It looks very interesting and I think would do better in summer. We will see.

Butler was pretty funny on Stern the other day. Those surfing stories were crazy, let alone drinking water in India. This looks fun, but screams of "who's the insider on the president's staff helping the bad guys." I'll proably be cheering good at the end.

OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN Review. OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN Stars Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman | Collider

The appeal of “Die Hard in the White House” is that it seems relatively straightforward, but Olympus Has Fallen still manages to be a mess. It rarely manages the balance between fun and intensity, and too often it veers into sadistic territory both on the side of Banning when he tortures suspects, and on the side of Kang when he tortures hostages. Fuqua isn’t aiming for ambiguity to show how good and evil can operate through similar methods. He’s simply delivered a muddled action flick that charges through the front door with guns blazing and eyes closed.

Harry says this G.I. JOE: RETALIATION has big brass balls! - Ain't It Cool News: The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news.

Take it with a grain of salt, Harry is an unabashed fanboy and according to some, all that is wrong with sites like his. I love the guy, but he does tend to overappraise things. Look, I just want this to be a 90 minute slice of fun and not the mess that the first one was.
