Bryan Cranston in GANGSTER SQUAD
This is one of those 'black list' scripts if memory serves and there seems to be a little buzz going on this. Look at that cast though. Not bad.The beloved Bryan Cranston is in talks to star opposite Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin, Michael Pena, and Anthony Mackie in the period crime drama Gangster Sqad. Will Beall (Castle) adapted the script from the LA Times’ seven-part series “Tales from the Gangster Squad,” the original title of the movie. The articles chronicle the LAPD’s formation of the Gangster Squad in the 1940s to combat organized crime in Los Angeles. Variety pins Cranston to the role of Max Kennard, “a laconic LAPD officer from Texas who enforces the law ambitiously.” (Variety also refers to the movie as “The Gangster Squad,” so be prepared for a slight title adjustment if future coverage follows suit.) Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) will direct the Warner Bros/Village Roadshow production

Hopefully her boobs will not be as horribly misrepresented as they were in that Wonder Woman costume.

While THR has Firefly’s description as “a member of the villainous Cobra Organization and is known as a saboteur, ninja master and explosives expert.” Here’s what wikipedia has:
Firefly’s given name is unknown. Even Cobra Commander doesn’t know his real name or what he looks like. Firefly is a ninja master, a saboteur, and an expert in all NATO and Warsaw Pact explosives and detonators. He always places his charges in the proper location for maximum damage. His fees are paid into a numbered Swiss bank account, and are always paid in advance. He makes no guarantees, and gives no refunds. Firefly also tends to go together with Black Out and Munitia as H.I.S.S. (short for Hierarchy of Infiltration, Stealth, and Sabotage).
