Samuel Jackson Producing Live-Action Afro Samurai Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors
Nice.A new press release from The Indomina Group reveal that Samuel Jackson, a long time champion of Okazaki’s series, will produce the film. They’re still looking to lock down the writing and directing talent, and casting will take place in the coming months. If all goes to plan, production will kick off in the new year at the Indomina Pinewood studio in the Dominican Republic.
There’s a quote from Jackson:
This has been one of my very favorite properties ever since our amazing debut at Comic Con with the original series pilot out of Japan. I can’t wait to produce the epic feature film version with our new partners at The Indomina Group.

You’ve already read that he’s now going to attempt to make a Heavy Metal movie plus he offered updated on several other projects including:
Machete Kills Again In Space (I’m not kidding.)
Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For
Frank Frazetta’s Fire & Ice
Read about all of these after the jump.
The HAYWIRE panel was death. Soderberg is far too dry and disinterested. Carrano is an atypical 'curvy' girl and kinda sexy because of that. The footage was nice, but it looked a little too choreographed. Channing Tatum is entirely useless.

At Comic-Con over the weekend, Efren Ramirez, who played Kaylo in CRANK and Venus in CRANK: HIGH VOLTAGE revealed that Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor - writers/directors of the first two films in the series - are looking to come back for a third go-round, whether it be a prequel without Jason Statham, or a sequel with him.

Albert Finney & Joan Allen Return For ‘The Bourne Legacy’ > The Playlist
This is looking pretty good so far.The duo join an entirely new cast for franchise sequel—yes, it takes place after the previous film, just focusing on agent who is not Jason Bourne—with Jeremy Renner leading the way, Rachel Weisz and Oscar Isaac also on board and Edward Norton filling out the villain role. The film has also been written by Gilroy—who has had a hand in all the scripts for the series thus far—so it will be a world he’s innately familiar with. Filming will begin soon and an August 2012 release date has been pegged.
