1948 Alfred Hitchcock film Rope with James Stewart on Blu-ray June

The 1948 Alfred Hitchcock directed film “Rope” starring James Stewart is coming to Blu-ray Disc on June 4th, 2013 as part of the “Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece Series” via Universal Studios Home Entertainment — according to an early alert to retailers. The film, #206 in IMDb’s Top 250, co-starred Dick Hogan, John Dall and Farley Grange. Tech specs and bonus materials for the release have not been detailed. The title is available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon with a $16.99 price tag.
It’s also worth noting that 1959 Alfred Hitchcock directed film “The Man Who Knew Too Much” starring James Stewart and Doris Day is being released in the same “Masterpiece Series” on August 6th, 2013 (as pictured above). No word yet on tech specs or bonus materials for that release either. It is available for PRE-ORDER as well over at Amazon with a $16.99 price tag.
    Sweet.

Rope is my favorite Hitchcock film. Any idea if the transfer and special features are different from the version in the recent box set?

If the pattern continues, it will be the exact same disc.
