Here's more on Dial M...
Hitchcock's Dial M for Murder Coming to Blu-ray in 3D; House of Wax Is Next | Horror Movie, DVD, & Book Reviews, News, Interviews at Dread Central
Alfred Hitchcock's Dial M for Murder is not only getting own October 9th Blu-ray release courtesy of Warner Brothers, but it's coming to us in 3D. And believe it or not, it's not a conversion! Read on for the details.
According to Warner Home Video's Executive Vice President and General Manager of Theatrical Catalog, Jeff Baker, "Given the current trend toward 3D, we're delighted to be releasing this authentic classic 3D. This is not a conversion from 2D to 3D, but an original work, with a big tip of the cap to MPI, that illustrates just how good 3D can be. The Warner library has the largest number of classic 3D titles (15) of any studio, and over the years we've been looking to release them, but not until now has the technology been perfected to the point we can do that. We're hoping Dial M for Murder is the first of several classic 3D films to be released, with the long-awaited, much requested House of Wax expected next."
A&E 'Psycho' Prequel Series 'Bates Motel' Will Be A Cross Between 'Twin Peaks' & 'Smallville' | The Playlist
First revealed earlier this year, "Lost" and "Friday Night Lights" folks Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin, having been working on "Bates Motel," a prequel of sorts to "Psycho." Well, A&E must really like what they've been seeing as THR reports, they've skipped the whole pilot stage, and gone ahead an ordered up ten episodes of the show. Described as a cross between "Twin Peaks" and "Smallville" (huh?), the show will take place before the events in "Psycho," showing the relationship between a teenage Norman Bates and his mother, and explain the back story of how he wound up a serial killer.
Things are moving quickly with casting underway and production to begin soon for a 2013 premiere on the network. Anthony Cipriano ("Twelve And Holding" starring a pre-fame Jeremy Renner) penned the pilot.
They made a Bates Motels made for telly thing starring Bud Court that they intended to make into a series, but didn't. It looks so wonderfully bad and I want to watch it!! :P
*cough* Bates Motel (1987) Part 1/10- YouTube *cough*
And here, lol, I was hoping that one day, yeah, one day it would come out on DVD so that I could watch it.
I am slow. I won't get there by myself, but we'll get there as a dolphins.![]()
