BD Horror News - TV: 'Walking Dead' Producers Promise No Stalling, New Threats In Season 2

A must read if you are a fan of the show. New showrunner Glen Mazzara has been taking charge of the press for this lately, even explaining that Darabonts much talked about idea about the fall of Atlanta was nixed as a group creative decision, not due to corporate interference. This article definitely sounds like a half apology for the slow start to season 2 and a promise of things picking up in the second half. Nice little tease at the end about 2 new characters walking on to the show. Also, it seems, contrary to prior reports, that Lennie James' character(he took in Rick in s1 e1/wife is a zombie) is still in play...and that's cool. Like I said, if you like the show...read this. It may soothe your nerves about the quality dropping.

And I feel like the lone voice in the wilderness on this one...but Hell on Wheels finale' was pretty strong. After a slow start this show REALLY caught a groove and became one of my most anticipated shows of the week. Thankfully the ratings were good enough(boosted by Walking Dead and dropped off marginally without the lead in) that AMC isn't pulling a Rubicon on this one. I cannot recommend highly enough.

I don't necessarily buy it all. What Darabont wanted to do was genius (Fall of the ATL) and would've been what continues to make this series (and by happenstance make AMC) such good television. AMC proved they can do things right with Breaking Bad but I just don't have any respect for any business trying to squeeze the proverbial pennies.

What else was Mazzara (who is now the AMC company man) going to say?? He can't do Darabont's idea as that would look like he was just copying him and I am not sure AMC would go along with it now. I just don't trust AMC leadership any longer. I hope they can carry the story together. As much as I complained the Sofia saga the way Darabont ended it - that was pure genius. I am going to hold out hope the new show runner can do the same but we will see. I am still PO'ed they snuffed out Darabont obviously. He really had the feel for this series on television and was the one who developed. I just would rather see the artist who conceive the art get to finish is.

THE WALKING DEAD Star in Talks to Topline Frank Darabont’s TNT Series L.A. NOIR

The Shawshank Redemption filmmaker wasted absolutely no time moving on, as we reported earlier this month that he’s set up an incredibly ambitious pilot at TNT called L.A. Noir. The show takes place in 1940s L.A. and chronicles the battle between the Los Angeles police and mobster Mickey Cohen. If you want to know, hit the jump to find out which Walking Dead castmember may be headed for the exit door. Be forewarned MAJOR SPOILERS for The Walking Dead lie after the jump.

Again, if you don’t want to know about a major castmember that may be leaving The Walking Dead, turn back now. MAJOR SPOILERS follow below.

Mystery Men Revealed in The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 8 | Shock Till You Drop

Shooting has been completed on The Walking Dead season 2 for some time now, but a few casting bites have been released concerning two new faces you can expect to see in episode 8 on February 12. These are the two mystery men we saw hinted at in this clip.

Aaron Munoz and Michael Raymond James (True Blood, Terriers) will pop up in the midseason premiere. Munoz plays a character named "Tony," one of two new survivors who enter Rick's World. It is unknown who James will play.

Creator Robert Kirkman teased that these two could pose a threat to Rick and his crew.

"Nebraska" airs on AMC February 12.

    Oh man...Terriers...
