Okay, so I watched the episode, and my thoughts are pretty much what a lot of you guys already wrote. I too hate Lori, and her reaction to Rick didn't make any sense to me. I'm over the supposedly heightened drama whenever one of the characters freaks out about Carl not being around. It was almost like rehearing the punch line of a joke that had been previously made when we saw Farmer John and the Milkmaid become zombie vittles. The whole "meet up" on the highway thing just played out so lame. Are you telling me that in all the preparations those fools made on the farm, they didn't once discuss a fall back position? Were Rick and Shane too busy fighting over that stupid woman Lori to do any sort of contingency planning? Must have been. Oh, and the scene where Daryl rescues Carol played out cheesier than a Bollywood film.

But at the end of the day, I watched the whole thing (while forwarding through commercials) and the whole season. And I'll be back for Season 3. But the execs on this show need to make up there mind about what kind of show it is. Is it a show where the zombie tension / action propels the story line? Or is it a show where the primal, interpersonal drama between the characters propels the story line? Right now, it is a show that tries to balance the two approaches, and ends up doing neither very well.

Oh, and instead of focusing on that stupid shot of the car with the message to Sophia; they should have shown the vehicle that the audience had a true emotional connection to: Dale's RV

And didn't she also say one of the best lines in the comics along the lines of "as soon as they realized they weren't going to get to eat me they left me alone." ??? I remember something along those lines and thought it increased her "bad - a$$ed - ness!"

Ugh really? Behind Lori Andrea is easily my most hated character (Darryl is my favorite though), i was really hoping she'd be done with. But i did like how she was saved.

    and so it begins...

Is there a REAL zombie outbreak going on right now in Africa? | Blastr

A weird disease spreading in Africa has health officials baffled—and the symptoms may sound a little too familiar to fans of George Romero's work, or of AMC's The Walking Dead.

Called nodding disease, the zombie-like disorder has spread to more than 3,000 children in Northern Uganda, and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) are scrambling to figure it out.

The disease causes the affected children to sit and nod—hence the name—but also has some much weirder, and creepier, effects. The disorder causes severe seizures, amnesiac behavior, stunted development and extreme pyromania (seriously). Affected children often start fires or wander off, and more than 200 deaths have been reported from incidences caused by the infected, i.e. fires.

One parent, Grace Lagat, said several villagers have taken to tying infected children up to keep them from wandering off. She says her son, Thomas, often bites and gnashes at the rope to try and get free.

"When I am going to the garden, I tie them with cloth," Lagat told CNN. "If I don't tie them I come back and find that they have disappeared."

The disease has been popping up in smaller outbreaks the past four years, though it is now bordering on a regional epidemic.

With everyone from WHO to the CDC on the case, scientists have still not figured out the cause, or a cure. But, they do know that more than 90 percent of cases occur in areas that are home to the parasitic Onchocerca Volvulus worm, which is carried by insects, and vitamin B6 deficiency could be a factor.

"At first we cast the net wide," CDC disease detection director Dr. Scott Dowell said. "We ruled out three dozen potential causes and we are working on a handful of probabilities."

Though experts don't expect a worldwide epidemic—the disorder doesn't appear to be contagious at this point—they are taking some precautions to ensure it (hopefully) doesn't spread beyond the affected regions.

"We know from past experience an unknown disease could end up having more global implications," Dr. Dowell said.

Sound off: Should we be worried? Should we head for Hershel's farm now just in case? Oh, wait, never mind ...

Sorry but dude is in way, way, way over his head. I don't think he has the stones to push this story like Darabont would - just my humble opinion. His answer about Lori is very telling. He has no idea where he wants to go with her character and is entirely surprised by the fan backlash. To be honest I hated her in the graphic novel as much as I do on the show. Additionally he can still make Michonne a bit "fantastical" and still have his "gritty" story. The chick swings a katana and has two armless zombies chained to her for crying out loud!

Maybe this is all my post-Darabont hangover and bitterness but they messed up in moving Frank. Anyone who has re-watched Shawshank this week (thanks to AMC) can attest to Darabont's great story teller ability.

They're going to be at the prison all the way into Season 4?
