Well yeah...Flanagan is dick-y, but I do not get the feeling that there is a prickly pear like hierarchy. Even the pre-determined low man Ming fights back. I think these guys actually like each other and the ball bashing comes from a good place. Which is why I hope they don't tamper with the chemistry. It's real organic the love these guys have for each other. And I really think that they show it best when they forget the cameras. Walts just real Jersey...and if you have a problem with that Adgy...well, I will let you off the hook, but you know what I am saying right little brother???
After thinking about it some... I agree with you. It would be very difficult to insert another person, regardless of sex, into that show without it messing things up. Even though things are not perfect.
It would probably just be awkward and strange. The fact that these guys are kind of sad, lonely male comic nerds (and I say that knowing the three employees are married) is kind of what makes this show work the way it does. Adding a lady, or anyone not already a part of that subset of the population would just make it weird. They'd stand out too much as being different.
I don't know if there's a way to integrate anyone else at this point. Maybe a wife?
Glad you could see my point. The wives are a decent idea...if they want to introduce the home lives into it and let us see what these guys are like away from the strength of the pack I am all for that. You would probably get to see 3 guys who are very submissive to their wives.
So, did everyone abandon "The Killing" after last season's cluster****? I'm way too hooked to give it up. Season premiere was last night with two episodes. I only got a chance to watch one, I'll likely catch episode 2 tonight.
No sir...+1 for still firmly on board. Concentrated on Game of Thrones(watched twice) and animation domination last night. Wanted to save The Killing for it's own night. Will most likely watch tonight.
Watched both Killing eps. Dang good still. 2nd ep recorded weirdly since Mad Men ran late, so I missed the last minute or two.
Watched the Killing last night. Got an almost HOMELAND type vibe at times, as if Linden might be a little 'off her meds'. The subplot with her annoying son is just tired as hell though. A little worried with the whole 'conspiracy' aspect they are setting up. Glad that Holder(just realized...Holder...ex-junkie...coincedence???) wasn't simply dirty. Man he is gonna have to work hard to get her to take him in again. The stuff with the Larsen family was a little much too. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed it...but it didn't have that 'smaller' feel of the first season. Feels like it has the potential to spiral out a little bit and get to be too unrealistic. I will keep watching because I still like it but they need to be careful and reel it back a bit. That being said I may just be biting on some cleverly written 'red herrings'...so we will see.
