Dead was good tonight. Finally fleshed out the governor. Nice interpretation of him from comic series. Is Andrea falling under his spell?
Yeah, I enjoyed it. The doctor is interesting. And I dug the Futurama ending...he should have dropped some fish food in...
That episode was so good I didn't even notice the complete absence of a crossbow-toting redneck until after it was over.

I am very glad that they are divorcing themselves from the Governor of the comic books. It was very cartoony and would have come off as such on the tv show. Like the addition of the doctor and whatever it is they are attempting to figure out. You have to think the gov staring at the picture of his loved ones will work in somehow. Is he trying to reverse the curse? Are his loved ones waiting for the cure somewhere? Andrea sure is willing to follow anyone with an ounce of power. I really felt for the first time since s1 the STORY actually was moving forward. I don't expect it to last, but last nights episode was the best in a long while. Good to see Merle again, Rooker is just awesome. It was a bold and successful move to stay with the Woodbury storyline last night. I wonder if they are going to go all 'prison' next episode or they are going to cut back and forth.

Awesome. I think the tv Gov is a lot more scary simply because he seems to be at about a 4 on the bad guy scale right now. I have NO doubt that he can easily crank it to 10 in a heartbeat. That fear and suspense is what made last nights episode so good. It’s important to say that The Governor in the comic books arrives fully formed. He’s sadistic. He’s quite out there. He’s quite an evil guy. My Governor is not like that. You arrive with him much more as a leader who’s caring for his community and who has humanity about himself. As the audience, you get to know him in a different way because he has private moments with the audience. But, he’s much earlier in his life and his genesis than The Governor we meet in the book. I think that, if they had started with that Governor who was in the book, he’d have a very short shelf life. He’s evil. He’s going to do bad things, and then he is going to die. My Governor is different. He’s much more of the politician, and he’s much more recognizable for that. Those are the main differences. Since I’ve taken on the role, I’ve gotten to know how much people care about it.
