Also good at finding Wendee Lee's work, as well as several other major vo actors. I can recognize celebrity voice actors in commercials very easily as well...like Tim Allen in Chevy's ads, Gene Hackman doing Lowes, etc. I just seem to be good at recognizing things like that.

Looks like that'd be a neat doc.
Howzbout the Michael C. Hall spot????

Seth MacFarlanes Flintstones reboot put on hold

Disappointing, not surprising. I know this is a passion project of McFarlane's so it's good that he is going to take needed time to get it right.

Why Watch? This is absolutely breath-taking work featuring stop-motion mastery and an entrancing story.

In Juan Pablo Zaramella‘s Luminaris, a young man who makes light bulbs just like he’d blow up bubblegum plots a plan he can’t execute by himself. It’s stunning work that puts smiles on faces like it was its job. With a whimsical score and a grounding creativity tied to a little light romance, it’s a must-see.

What will it cost? Only 5 minutes.

The Gorillaz’ Pete Candeland To Direct Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride Movie | Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

I took a trip on the Disney theme park attraction Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride once. It involved a lot of keeping my eyes shut and covering my ears. It’s a trip straight to hell, don’t you know.

    Very, very creepy.

The ride was based on Disney’s short toon of the same name, adapting a segment of The Wind in the Willows. The next iteration in this chain is to be a full length feature.

There’s no writer on the project at the moment, say Deadline, but Pete Candeland is directing. He’s the man behind a lot of the Gorillaz earlier (some say better) videos, and has a number of cracking commercials under his belt too.

Candeland’s Toad movie is to blend live action and CG. He’s got a lot of experience in this, and has mixed the two up to great effect before. We’re not looking at another Yogi Bear here.
One of my faves at Disneyland and I imagine it will more based on Wind in the Willows than a ride it is based on...but you get the idea.

‘Coraline’ Studio Laika Producing ‘Goblins,’ From ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’ Animation Director | /Film

Animation house Laika has done a few supernatural-themed projects in a row, with Corpse Bride, Coraline and the forthcoming ParaNorman on its CV. Now the studio will make a third, as it plans to produce an adaptation of the Philip Reeve book Goblins, with Fantastic Mr. Fox animation director Mark Gustafson in the director’s chair. (Laika and Gustafson just worked together with Wes Anderson on a commercial for Sony, and the director has been at the head of many other commercial projects for the company.)

    A few more details follow.

We don’t know who’ll write the picture at this point, and there is no voice cast announced just yet. We can pass along the book synopsis, however:

This is a wild world of magical creatures and heroic adventure from the extraordinary imagination of Philip Reeve. The squabbling goblins who live in the great towers of Clovenstone spend their time fighting and looting. Only clever young Skarper understands that dark magic created by a vanquished sorcerer is rising again. From the lands of men come fortune-seekers – and trolls, giants, cloud-midens, boglins, swamp monsters, tree-warriors and bloodthirsty goblins are swept into a fabulous magical conflict to thrill all fantasy fans.

Gustafson has also been involved with the stop-motion Pinocchio that Guillermo del Toro has been part of with the Jim Henson Company, Pathé and Warner Bros.
    Already looking forward to this.

Metalocalypse Director Jon Schnepp and Zenescope's Benjamin Jackendoff Talk Animating Grimm Fairy Tales | Horror Movie, DVD, & Book Reviews, News, Interviews at Dread Central

"For all the 'Metalocalypse' fans out there, April 29th is the Season 4 premiere," Schnepp said. "I directed it and I think people are gonna dig it, especially anyone who's ever been at a Comic-Con. It's a very special episode. A lot of people are going to get killed."
