Ed Helms to Star in Remake of French Comedy LE MAC
Oh jeez...can someone just remake the horribly underrated Dr. Detroit already????Usually relegated to a strong but supporting role in a number of comedies as of late, Ed Helms has nabbed the lead role in the remake of the French comedy Le Mac. Variety reports that Helms will topline the remake and produce alongside Ben Stiller’s Red Hour Films. Directed by Pascal Bourdeaux, the 2010 original film centered on a mild-mannered banker who was forced to masquerade as a notorious gangster and pimp.
So they are remaking films that are only a year old now?
Maniacal Laugh, Maniacal Laugh, Maniacal Laugh
Wow...this is getting universally panned.
A GOOD OLD FASHIONED ORGY Review
I didn’t want to write this review because it would involve me giving more thought to repulsive, selfish characters who populate a comedy that’s almost entirely devoid of laughs. There’s something fascinating about a movie that sets up jokes and then forgets to deliver a punchline. And because awful character delivering non-jokes isn’t enough, the film is saddled with limp, thoughtless direction that misses every opportunity for a laugh. When A Good Old Fashioned isn’t being clichéd, it’s being dull, and sometimes it’s both, but it’s hardly ever funny.
Anything is better than the hosting of this year's show. Bring back Billy Crystal or Steve Martin please!
Seth Rogen Confirms He’s Not in THIS IS FORTY, Says JAY AND SETH VS. THE APOCALYPSE Starts Shooting in February
When talking with Movies.com about his non-involvement with This is Forty, Rogen revealed that production on Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse will finally commence in February, adding that the “oddly personal” flick now involves more than just two people:
“It’s now much more than just Jay and Seth — there’s many other people vs. the apocalypse now. It’s gonna be crazy.”
The actor also confirmed that he’ll be co-directing the film with his writing partner Evan Goldberg, marking the duo’s directorial debut. I was a big fan of the short, so I’m definitely anticipating the feature.

Well, it’s a indie and the the debut film of Atlas Independent, the newly-formed affiliate company of Charles Roven’s Atlas Entertainmenta company that focuses on development and production of films budgeted under $10 million (Roven known by fans as one of the producers of Christopher Nolan‘s Batman series).
