Recently Jones tweeted, “Thinking about what film I want to try and do after Warcraft. May give Mute one more push before I put it on the "Don Quixote" shelf.”

Warcraft looks...different. May be able to finally be a true videogame movie, also could turn into a ridiculous cgi mess. Was very stylized. Almost feels like a more aware Flash Gordon(Sam Jones version) and I mean that in a good way. WAAAAAAAAY too early to tell. (Duncan) Jones is either gonna be able to make what he wants, or get sentenced to director jail for a while.

Quentin Tarantino Talks Django Meets Zorro, Making a Sci-Fi Film, Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, and More

After multiple questions about the anime sequence in Kill Bill QT trotted out the chestnut that the Whole Bloody Affair with a theatrical release and a bluray was gonna happen probably in a year. Take this with a grain of salt because this has been a recurring discussion for a decade.

#SDCC14: Kevin Smith to Channel Spielberg with Upcoming Film Moose Jaws - Dread Central

The fine folks over on /Film picked up on the announcement at Comic-Con, where Smith revealed the first trailer for Tusk. On his panel, he said that the crazy film about a dude who turns a podcaster into a walrus will be the first in his 'True North Trilogy,' followed up by the previously announced Yoga Hosers and a movie called Moose Jaws.

Smith describes the latter film as being "Jaws, with a moose," and says it will feature much the same cast as Tusk. The only thing he really said about the movie is that there will be a scene in it of a killer moose eating a little girl, which is enough to pique my interest.

So awesome to see Smith stepping outside of his comedy comfort zone and delving deep into the horror genre. As someone who loved Red State, I welcome all these whacky upcoming projects with open arms!

    A LOT of weed.

Watch: 10 Minute Video Essay 'Eyes Wide Open' Explores Ph | The Playlist

The Bank Austria Kunstforum recently had a showing of Kubrick's work as a photographer before he became a filmmaker, and the folks at Cast Your Art put together a pretty nice ten minute video essay on the exhibit. It's overview of what's on display but also an informative guide through the details of Kubrick's shutterbug efforts. It goes into the various styles he utilized and the breadth of coverage he provided to newspapers and magazines, ranging from street life to sports to current events and more.
