There was greatness right and left in that episode. I love when they give the other marshall guy something to do, even if I have forgotten his name again, but that standoff was fantastic, smart and tense. Patton Oswalt really stepped it up and Cordroy continues to redeem himself for certain sitcom atrocities.
You mean Mike O'Malley(Nicky Augustine) right? And yeah, they have had a concentrated effort to make characters out of the supporting cast this season. The phone call between Colt and Deputy Tim was just another great example of the terrific tough guy banter that this show excels at. I know someone who couldn't get into s1 and didn't stick with it...and I cannot get her to buy in no matter how much I plead. Her loss.Originally Posted by KingInTheWest

Couldn't agree more. The phone call between Tim and Colt when Tim says "because this isn't a fantasy" and it just hit me that this is some of the best television I have ever seen. Everyone is great in it.
Extra props to Patton Oswalt for doing such a great job, even though his character arc has been obvious from the moment he was introduced. He made it work and he made you care.
Can't believe they took what I was expecting to be the season ending climax and did it with two episodes still left to go. That's ****in' balls. Can't wait to see the next one.
