Bechir, who i have never really cared for, is a wonderful partner for her. Soothing and charming where she is so harsh and off putting. Only gripe I had...and they may pay it off...they started the show with a tough sell. Someone being able to cripple the entire border and carefull arrange 2 parts of a dead body precisely on two different sides of the border(in DARKNESS). It's a hard way to start and a fairly big plot point.

Oh, really nice to see Matthew Lillard again.

edit:sorry, this is of course re:the Bridge.
Kruger's character does indeed have Aspergers. For some reason it is never addressed on the show, and I guess it was never addressed in the original series, either. I happened to read an article prior to the show's start in which the author revealed this and it made her character a bit easier to get. I am a fan of Bichir's, and I agree that he balances out Kruger's character nicely. What I liked about the show after just the pilot, is that there is so much more going on than just the 2 bodies on the bridge and the hunt for this serial killer. Politically, socially - there is so much more to this show. I have to give kudos to FX for "going there" with this topic regardless of how long this show will last.

Also, just saw an update on teh facebookz...and I'm going to paste it here, too: What do you think is behind the locked door?

    My guess: a tunnel

Pretty much agree on all points. BoobyTrap guessed that she probably had Asberger's and then everything made sense. I thought it was a solid, if not spectacular opening. I did have an issue with the body on the bridge being arranged in such a way that no one noticed it was in two until they tried to pick it up and then that it was two different bodies until it got to the morgue, but... as long as that's the end of that sort of thing, it's fine.

Also agree. Police corruption in Mexico may not necessarily be a new topic, but if this show is going at it the way it seems like it's going to, i think there's a lot of potential and it's kind of exciting.

I am guessing it's the portal that sent Ash back into the past...well, no...I am just sorta hoping that.

That bar scene with Kruger was really, awkward.

Lillard is awesome but I get the feeling something increasingly bad may happen to him.

Lyle Lovett? I mean, I'm actually scared of him already.

LOL, awkward is an understatement about the bar scene. I think Kruger is so good in this role, though.

Lyle Lovett was CREEPY as hell. Charlotte better realize quickly that she doesn't have a choice but to keep her husband's "business" going. I haven't really seen much that Lovett has acted in, but goddamn. My friend and I looked at each other after that scene and were like "holy hell, he is chilling."

Also, what the **** with that Hector dude who's looking for Eva who just up and killed that neighbor? Geez.

I stopped buying those a long time ago. I never seem to watch them more than once. That was one of the main reasons i got netflix.
