Good episode. Ygritte is hilarious. And I gotta think the two burnt corpses at the end weren't the Stark kids, even Theon wouldn't sink that low. Don't tell me though![]()
A real fun cliffhanger at the end there, huh? I had a good time watching last night. The stolen dragons and the Undying are a fun plot going.
Also, what is to become of Jaime Lannister?
Good of Jamie to remind me what a complete scumbag he is. His wit, charm and undignified situation almost made me forget he tried to murder a child.
Jon Snow dissapoints me.

Not a great episode as far as being self contained. When I go back and rewatch the season it will fare better. Not sure if I am comfy with some of the liberties being taken as far as book to screen, but it'll have to do. And, yeah...something was handled really clumsily, but no spoilers. Yygritte said 'you know nothing Jon Snow'...that was kinda a 'squee' moment for me. Don't be too dissapointed in Lord Snow just yet Dex...his storyline has taken a real hit due to the splitting of the story between so many characters, but big things lie ahead for him. Arya/Tywin's scenes continue to be the highlight of the show. Charles Dance is so good.
Keep watching...
To address Jaime L., I dunno, we kinda got into this on the book thread, as big of a prick as he tends to be there is something inherently likeable about him. Not to spoil things, but the lines blur a lot more for many of the characters as things go on.
They have been very forthright about the incest...the scene with Tyrion and Cersei was very much off the page and Jaime admitting it outright was as well. The past 2 weeks have thrown me a little because up till now they had almost religiously stuck to the books. I am starting to wonder how far they are going to go.
That's what separates well-written shows from bad ones. The bad guys aren't just pure one-dimensional evil, they have redeeming qualities. Heroes aren't all just rainbows and unicorns. Jamie is one charming mofo. The evil queen showed glimpses of being a human being, too. However, I assume Joffrey is going to stay an unrepentant *******.
Well...they have softened Cersei a bit because literally, when I have to read her chapters the chorus in my mind goes 'BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO'. As far as Joff, well there is no cure for being a ****. Yeah...if I could tell you guys what is happening in the latest book Dance of Dragons...oof. As far as all the books go, this one might be my favorite because it's pretty bat****. And unlike some of the books it plays like a greatest hits record because pretty much everyone is getting some page time.
