Jaime and Brienne was probably the best interaction in this episode.
Really having trouble adjusting to the seemingly huge amount of condensing they are doing from the books. I guess I got spoiled because S1 was so faithful. Hearing minor rumblings(Kingsqueen) of unhappiness with the perception that the season is 2 episodes from ending and not much has happened. Trust me, this is the slowest time in the whole storyline. So much happens from this point on and, to be honest, this season has felt a little clumsy. If anyone is thinking of bailing...PLEASE stick with it. I do worry because they have done so much to hide the shows lack of budget and sooner or later it's going to be impossible to keep doing that.

Well, I read (and saw in the little preview at the end) that in the next episode there's going to be a big nighttime battle scene. Presumably, it will be a really, really dark night. Lots of screaming and swords clanging. But you can't see anything, except an occasional lit arrow piercing the night. Easy peasy.Quote:

By bouncing from region to region, character to character, season 2 often creates the illusion of forward movement that isn't really there. We've spent a fair amount of time with Jon Snow and Ygritte over the past three weeks, but even though the power has passed from one of them to the other over that time, it still feels like they've been wandering around that glacier for far longer than they have. We jump in on them, or on other characters, and hear them engage in variations on the same discussion, over and over. When it's a good combination of characters — say, Arya and Tywin, or Tyrion and anybody they put Tyrion with — the repetition doesn't matter, but even the good moments (of which this episode had several) can't stop me from feeling like we've spent eight hours putting everyone in position for when the next phase of the story will actually start.
