I totally "awwwwwww"-ed when Hot Pie showed up. adorable.

I was expecting the moon door scene to be in the finale, but I thought it was done so well. it's one of my favorite scenes from the books and it was pretty glorious to watch. I definitely agree that they should have kept the "only Cat" line instead of changing it to "your sister," considering they mentioned Cat and how Littlefinger loved her roughly 3 minutes before that. I know people are inherently dumb, but the original line is just so much better.

that scene with Tyrion and Oberyn was sooooooo good holy ****. Dinklage is going for that Emmy!

Almost lost my **** when a simple compliment turned into a monologue on the finer points of kidney pie. Poor Brienne is longing for surly Jamie's companionship at this point.

I have to go over to the other thread because something is being done so well that it is killing me knowing what is going to happen, so...

Great episode and the Oberyn 'I will be your champion' complete with lost/vulnerable Tyrion was one of those stand up and cheer moments.
I continue to love Bronn. Perhaps even more so simply because he is a 'cold bastard with no conscience'. But, I expect there are a lot of audience members who don't share Tyrion's/my opinion.

And really HBO. Really???? Some of us aren't global jetsetters who leave our homes with every 3 day weekend. And the rest of the folks that do certainly have DVRs/On Demand. So I have to suffer a Game of Thrones free weekend??? Thanks for spoiling my extra day off. #youBastards .

What, no GoT next weekend? That sucks!

And who doesn't love Bronn? Reveal yourself so I can adjust my opinion of you accordingly.

Think of it as stretching out the season by a week.

This is the forth year in a row they've done it and it seems they always come back to HUGE ratings. If it ain't broke don't fix it I guess.

Oh it's their model. They used to do it with True Blood(why I even cared I don't know) and it irritated me then. Where is the instant gratification. I want it all and I want it now.

Agree... though I do love Vikings. Glad History Channel renewed that show for 2 more seasons.

I'm a global jetsetter - I'm going to downtown Los Angeles twice next weekend!

Even though I obviously knew what was coming, it felt way too obvious that Oberyn was going to offer to be Tyrion's champion. It especially made no sense that Tyrion could not see it coming.

If Jaime had declared in public that he was Tyrion's champion, wouldn't that have forced Tywin to not use someone that would wipe the floor with Jaime? At the very least, it has to be someone who is going to give Jaime the chance to yield (i.e. not Gregor), and then you just pay that guy to take a fall.

Tywin had nothing to do with it. Gregor is Cersei's champion. And see it coming or not...it was sweet. Actually is a nice touch considering how calculated Tyrion is...to not see the obvious. Remember, this is a guy whose entire belief system has been undermind(ed). The Shaetrayel and Varis going sideways, well the rug is pulled, inn't? And Bronn presenting a great argument against, as well as Jaime...little man is floundering.
