The episode count is low to keep the budget under control. More eps with the same money equals even more stretching. My concern is that some of the characters actually live a while(well a few anyway). What happens season 6 or 7 when redacted decides he should be getting PAID. HBO is notoriously...thrifty. At some point the source material is just going to be too expensive to produce. They did some clever stuff this season making small things look bigger...but they are only on book 2 and already some of us are put off by sacrifices that have needed to be made. It's going to get ridiculous and soon.

This qualifies as a spoiler for those who have not read the books, just like the earlier insinuation that Jamie Lannisters character evolves at a time in the show when he was at great peril. Even some of the season ender stuff discussed in this thread happened off camera, and some of the explanations given couldn't be known unless one had read about them.

For the love of god, gods, old and new and the one true light dude, please stop dropping lines like these in this thread.

Thrones actress says more male nudity needed: 'Let's see some @#$!' | Blastr

Just last week, Game of Thrones director Neil Marshall (who directed the superb ''Blackwater'' episode written by George R R. Martin) created quite a stir by revealing how there was a producer in charge of making sure the perv side of the audience got what it wanted from the show—namely, lots of T&A and a good dose of female full-frontal nudity...

But what about showing some more male full-frontal nudity, Game of Thrones? Starz's Spartacus never shied away from showing viewers some man bits and parts as well as female ones. It's all about e-q-u-a-l-i-t-y, is it not?

The 27-year-old actress agrees:

'There's that in everything in the world. I think it's really unfair, every actor, any actress has had her t-ts out. Every single actress I know. Blokes it's like, let's see some @#$!. Do you know what I mean? Let's make it more even.'

Apparently, the Game of Thrones producers have promised more ''male junk'' for season three. So we guess we'll have to wait and see.
