Hey Folks... Just sharing an iOS app with you.
All Things: Game of Thrones Edition. (no kidding, that's the real name).
It has quizzes for each episode of Season 3, and a good tally on all sorts of news, art, etc relating to GOT.
Feel free to check it out.
I was always under the impression that Ser Ilyn Payne was Podrick's uncle?
(edit: My bad, they never mention the relation in the books. Only that Pod is from a lesser branch of the Paynes. . . so, most likely they are distant cousins)
Good episode. Some might not be too excited(hence the lack of posts) because compared to the past few it seemed more 'quiet'. But this was a set-up episode and some of the reviews I am reading this morning are calling it a couples episode, where relationships are being established. To the book readers, I am really wondering where they are going with 'the Queen in the North' because her story is completely off the books at this point. Sorry, I don't think that's a spoiler. Book readers, be respectful if you want to discuss this and go to the books page. Some really good visuals in this episode. The overhead shots...the scene with the dragons(which worked soooo tremendously well)...and, the one I feared the most, the bear pit. Man did they nail that. That was a scary bear and I'd have beat a hasty retreat from his lair. The part that I did not enjoy, the Theon stuff. In the books they make no mention of a castration, but this episode was written by George RR Martin so I don't know if it was revisionist or just never spoken of. Still, rough man, rough. Not enjoying it at all. My poor Theon.
I hope they didn't remove Theon's one great joy!
Okay, now I feel bad for Theon.
Solid episode overall, not much to say. It was as jd said 'quiet', but it wasn't boring by any means.
What sucks is that we only have 3 more episodes to go, before they make us wait for presumably another year.
Yup and since the season is going to end on the half mark(roughly) of a book, safe to assume there will be semi-cliffhangers. That won't help.
