Been waiting for that scene since the show started. I was looking as forward to the reactions as much as the actual scene. Thanks for not disappointing me guys. And how about that fight scene with Jorah and the boys? Great episode all round, its a shame no one will remember any of the scenes other than the wedding.

I would agree with that all except I don't believe the TV show has "improved" on the books. I would rather say it's simply an excellent adaptation. You can't "improve" on the books. Books and TV (or movies) are entirely different animals...apples and oranges.

BTW, Book 5 was published in 2011 and at this point it seems it will go 7 books total. GRRM is working on B6 at the moment.

Do you know why they use the spelling "Rains" when the family name (the one that the Lanniscum destroyed) was Reynes? Also, I thought I've read that the song was spelled "Reynes of Castamare". Odd....

My guess is no longer than another week.

I don't think it's a case of viewers getting "bored", just that they feel betrayed for lack of a better word. Comparing this to The Walking Dead for a moment here. Last season we had a build up for an entire season about this battle that Rick and the Governor were going to have...and it didn't really feel like it happened. Well, in GoT we've had almost two seasons of building up for some epic Stark v. Lannister stuff, and now it's taken from us. The first time with Ned it's a shocking thing. As it continues, you feel like you're getting a trick played on you. Like Naysay mentioned, three of the four protagonists that had been set up as sort of leads....they're dead. Another one that you start to like gets his hand chopped off rendering him useless in a combat sense. I remember some writer some years ago mentioning that you need to keep a trust with your audience. That at a certain point there will be a payoff for sticking with the "bad" times. A lot of folks felt that about Lost (not this guy), many more are feeling that about The Walking Dead now, I fear the same could happen with GoT. There's just no "bridge" characters that people can latch on to. Sure we like a lot of them and how they're written, but are there any we're rooting for? Don't say Theon either. I said we, not you.
