I've passed this point in the story in the books and I can say I haven't a clue what happens in this season finale. I knew what was coming last week but this week I'm at a loss....
The preview was great...poor Arya. :(

Just saw it yesterday (kinda new what was coming, you can't be online and not catch a whiff, including the main board here). A show that is not afraid to kill of the main protagonists is a show that trusts and respects its audience. Much of the world's greatest fiction consists of gut-wrenching tragedies. Why should a different medium ditch a formula that has worked for centuries?

A bit underwhelming for a season finale I thought. Not even in relation to last week. Just, eh. A couple of good moments, but nothing great.

Disagree immensely. SOOOOOOOOO strong. Homecomings and so many storylines moved forward to set up a great follow up season. My poor poor Reek.

What a lack of action on the season finale, so disappointed.

How could anyone not love this season ending episode? So may new story lines launched... it seems the real tale has just begun and these first three seasons have only introduced the themes of the far greater epic. The levels of artistic and technical achievement once established are continually exceeded with each new season.

I just think it felt like an episode that would take place in the middle of the season is all.

Season one ends with dragons and dany chiming out of the fire. Season two ends with white walkers marching on the wall. Season three ends with dany getting more people for her army. I mean, I know I'm simplifying it, but you get what I mean.
Does it help that I felt bad for Theon a little?

I get what you're all saying, but I think this was a feel good after feeling like **** last week, season finally. Very strong episode, and it really sets up the storylines for next season.
