I am still surprised that so many GoT HBO viewers thought the death of Ned Stark was a one-time thing and they would neeeeeevvvvveeeeerrrr kill off any other major characters.
Before the HBO show existed I had a very similar reaction after the Red Wedding in the books, my favorite characters in the beginning were Ned and Robb (I blame my parents for raising us to be honorable too. . . but I digress) After taking a one week break to absorb A Storm of Swords I plowed ahead, wanting to see where this was leading to.
[Also, after seeing 'Dealin' with Idiots' at the Music Box here in Chicago. . . F*** HBO, Jeff? No, F*** you.]

Yeah, he seems to be really upset with the stabbing of Ms. Stark in her pregnant belly. I though that excessive too(and since it doesn't happen in the books I see his argument) but he is very humorless about it. We all had our freakout moments, mine came during the book originally as well and it took me almost 2 weeks to go back to reading...I was pissed, but his reaction is very sand-y in the vagina-y.

A comedian, during a live(?) show got off on a rant and took an "extreme" point of view on something.
Ho. ****ing. Hum.

Watching a pregnant lady get stabbed in the stomach was one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen on TV and I can definitely see why some would be completely turned off by it. Did they cross the line? They definitely approached it, but TV would be boring if all shows played it safe. It was supposed to be brutal and shocking and they accomplished that. I don't agree with the outrage but I understand it.

What they did with Talisa was deeply, deeply wrong but it was a big reason why experiencing the Red Wedding on the show was worse than it was when I read it, despite knowing it was coming on the show. Robb was my favorite character (tie, Arya) in the books, but the fact that he can did is what makes the story so thrilling and makes it a lot more exciting when the characters I like do succeed and others get ventilated. When the good guys triumph every time in most books, movies, and television shows and you are 100% sure it is coming, there is no excitement in that. It is why sports are so much more exciting and satisfying. Also, I really, really want to see Walder Frey get perished, and will thoroughly enjoy it if and when it happens.

Look which OTHER Game of Thrones character just got recast in S4 | Blastr
Ok, if this is correct...it will be a little jarring, but I applaud the producers for realizing they dropped the ball on Dario Naharis. AND their supposed new choice is exactly what I was looking for. Not confirmed, the actor is signed...but recasting Dario is rumor so far.
