Review: Silly Horror Fairy Tale 'Mama' Is Another Misfire For The Guillermo Del Toro Presents Brand | The Playlist

Anyone familiar with Guillermo del Toro’s great films (“Pan’s Labyrinth,” “Devil’s Backbone”) and J-horror tropes should grow weary pretty quickly of “Mama.” There’s little to take away from it other than a sore forehead from slapping it so much. By the time the ridiculous child psychologist character encounters a government employee with a convenient bounty of useful information, "Mama" just becomes laughable, then annoying. But somehow the ending makes it even sillier. Some may find it ballsy, but this writer just wanted to know what the hell actually happened.
    Anybody see this yet?

New Images from PACIFIC RIM plus Test Screening Reactions from Rian Johnson and Others | Collider

    Rian Johnson @rianjohnson
Go into Pacific Rim prepared to be transmogrified into a 12 year old. And then to pee your pants with joy. I love it so much.

Guillermo del Toro Enters The Secret Garden | Horror Movie, DVD, & Book Reviews, News, Interviews at Dread Central

I was just going to say that GDT was getting lazy. Rumors are off/on about that stop motion Pinocchio flick he had planned with Gris Grimly(due more or less to the failure of Frankenweenie) so that one may come off the docket.

I love when you get recognized directors/producers attached to smaller horror/sci-fi projects because it gets known actors and actresses I want to see (Emma Stone) attached to films like Crimson Peak that you wouldn't expect them to be seen in otherwise.
