We shall see. I have been known to take the lead in mazes sometimes.....although you can definitely be first in the Hostel maze. I'm-a-scurred. lol.

Ok...sorry Knott's but despite being way overpriced Universal just kicks your ASS! We bought the front-of-the-line passes and never needed them. Longest line was 25 minutes. So, Sundays may be the time to go kiddies. We got there as soon as the gates opened and headed straight for the one-two punch of the 2 best mazes in the park, La Lorona & The Thing...that's right...I said it, The Thing. Look, Alice Cooper WTMN, Hostel, HO1K...all pretty looking. But the scares were pretty generic and easy to predict. Design is one thing, execution another entirely. All I know is that in the first ten minutes we were there, as a group, we got worked so damned hard that it was like the 3 stooges meet the mummy. And I tell you, it's pretty impressive when you can be scared sidelegged and giggling like a maniac at the same time. The Tram was what it always is...tired. Hostel was surprisingly tame. Like I said about the others, it's one thing to look pretty, but you HAVE to find creative ways to hide the scares. LL and the Thing were simply yards above the rest. Few minor complaints...the downstairs ghosts were changed from the really cool pigmen, to some generic Ghost Rider types and they seemed to not be feeling it as much as the rest of us. Most of the 'zones were ok, but a little repetetive and kind of tired. So, to sum up, it's still the best damned Halloween attraction in my opinion. Price is high but the results are there on display. Some of the standard stuff needs to be tweaked(the 'zones), and these boutique mazes(Ho1k/Alice) need to spend a little more time working on the scares instead of just being pretty to look at. If you haven't gone, I cannot recommend it enough. Another fun time. Thanks to Kq and the'zilla.

Night of the Pumpkin Set to Drop on October 25 ... Gourds Rejoice! | Horror Movie, DVD, & Book Reviews, News, Interviews at Dread Central

If the candy and the costumes and the fact that it's the only time of the year you can scatter bones in your front yard without having the neighbors alert the authorities aren't enough for you to look forward to Halloween, here's a new reason: Sideshow Pictures is promising to deliver a great short film each year, just in time for the holiday ... and the first one, Night of the Pumpkin, is ready to launch.

From reading the synopsis, the film sounds like some kind of splattery combination of Witchboard and Rubber (yeah…wrap your minds around that one). What we can guarantee is plenty of blood along with a gruesome growing gourd with nothing but bad intentions. Okay, I'm curious.

For those who want to join me in checking out this marauding jack-o-lantern, head over to Fangoria.com on October 25 and get your free viewing of the film. After the 25th Night of the Pumpkin will be available on other media outlets.

Read on for the details, and enjoy an exclusive to Dread Central picture of director Frank Sabatella (Blood Night: The Legend of Mary Hatchet) spending some quality time with Jack.

    From the Press Release
This Halloween, Sideshow Pictures, the team behind the modern cult slasher Blood Night: The Legend of Mary Hatchet, brings horror fans worldwide a hilarious new short splatterfest, Night of the Pumpkin!

It’s All Hallow’s Eve, and geeky Steve and his buddy Cutter are holding a sťance in the local cemetery. While foolishly toying with the dark forces of nature, they summon the soul of an ancient demon that possesses their jack o’lantern, which promptly goes on a carnivorous rampage. As the demonic gourd terrorizes the entire town, it grows larger and larger with every human soul it consumes. Now it is up to Steve to stop the monster pumpkin before it destroys his neighborhood and devours the woman he loves! Will Steve be able to tame the savage beast, or will this Halloween be his last? Who will survive the Night of the Pumpkin?

Night of the Pumpkin is the first in a series of annual Halloween shorts to be produced by Sideshow Pictures.

In addition to the Sideshow team, this innovative short's creators have pooled together some of the finest and freshest talent to ensure Night of the Pumpkin is a ghoulish, gore-filled delight that will torture and tickle the funny bones of horror fans everywhere. Directed by Sabatella (Blood Night: The Legend of Mary Hatchet) and penned by screenwriter Ted Geoghegan (Sweatshop, Barricade) from a story by Sabatella and newcomers George A. Taramas and Michael Gruosso (Night of the Living Heads, Demented), Night of the Pumpkin promises to be an over-the-top slaughterfest, mixing every drop of splatter (created by "Boardwalk Empire" and Crazy 8's FX maestro Jeremy Selenfriend) with hefty doses of laughter.

Night of the Pumpkin will debut online at Fangoria.com on Tuesday, October 25th, and will be available to all other media outlets after an exclusive 24-hour window on October 26th.

    This guy's house is badass!

I keep laughing at the thought of his neighbors probably hearing this (or whatever song he's using this year) 20 times a night when they are trying to sleep. I looked at his page and it looks like he does this every year, sounds like a lot of work...but still awesome!
