Wow...was SO looking forward to Knotts. Under new management w/a redirected desire to compete w/ Universal. FAIL. Too many attempts to make you open your wallet for EXTRAS...a reduction/complete removal of the slider ghosts(one of the most effective scares consistently and a true art form), and just a general lack of scares. Most of the mazes were unispired retreads/recycles of previous mazes with very little cohesion or effort. Most Guilty...Pinocchio Unstrung which replaced the beloved DOLLS maze. A series of images/tableaus with no real connection. A good maze tells a story and taking Pinocchio and twisting it with Frankenstein is a tremendous idea which was HORRIBLY executed. General lack of enthusiasm throughout. The Trick or Treat maze which included a nod to the old school Green Witch was the real highlight of the evening. Not terribly scary but fun and well thought out. Executed with the enthusiasm the rest of the park lacked. Just a real disappointment overall.

I love Danny Elfman, I make no qualms about it. In an interview with him, he said, and I am paraphrasing, East L.A used to be a Jewish town, and then Mexicans moved into it, but my family stayed there, and I learned about this Mexican tradition called Dias De Los Muertos, and, I was inspired by it.
And he made it his own, it's what he was surrounded by, and Oingo Boingo wouldn't had been the same.
Dias de Los Muertos is such an awesome festival, one day, lol, I want to experience it down south. And I want one of those skeletons with a sombrero!!!
I guess our friend Danzig needed a sequel, lol!

Dunno, I LOVE the Misfits, and like Danzig, but Samhain has always been the red haired step child, lol, still "November Come Fire" is a pretty good album, I think. ;)
An unorthodox choice (Are dolphins allowed to use that word?). This song just screams Halloween, and it was used to open the Donnie Darko film, lol, the non directors cut.
It just screams love under a Halloween moon.
