Why can't they just leave Russell alone?
I'm guessing next season focuses on Warlow and Billith against Alcide's pups, the fairies and the Norton Gang. Sticking Tara with Pam all season was the best move ever.
Newsroom was decent enough. I was expecting a West Wing season one finale with Bill and his bodyguard.
True Blood - did the "handling" of Russell seem way too easy, and fast? I expected that to be a drawn out part of the finale.
Jason seemed to be able to shoot lots and lots of vampires easily (who are supposed to be way faster than humans?)
Bill's rising out of the blood was a little surprising. I thought somehow he was going to "find his way", and the finale would end this "vampire religion" stuff.
4 babies for the sheriff? That was some comic relief.
Pam rules. "Must all roads lead to f***** Sookie?"
I'm bummed out at the way they handled Russell. I had an awful feeling he was going to get staked at the beginning of the episode. I'm pretty pissed I was right. They could have done SO much more with him.
As for Bill....I really kinda hate him so I'm pretty excited that he's going to be one of the bad guys. I was a little surprised by the ending. I kind of expected it, but the way he was acting this season, you really had no idea what he was thinking. I thought he was bat**** crazy at first and believed in the Sanguinist movement, and then he started killing everyone and it's like, oh he knows what he's doing. but no, he was actually crazy the whole time. Awesome.
Apart from Russell's depressing and sudden demise, I thought that was a great finale. I was hoping for a little more in the Warlowe story, though.
Oh, and as for The Newsroom....I don't care what anyone says. I ****ing love this show.
Jim needs to stop being a pussy though.

So, I found that funny. Like I mentioned previously, I enjoy the camp more than you guys probably because this is literally the first bit I've seen of the show. I have no favorites or baggage coming into the show.Originally Posted by jerseydevil
As far as Newsroom goes, here's my wishlist:
1. Stop making Obama the victim all the time. Be heavy handed on both parties and the absurdities of them if you're going to do right. That B.S. angle on the debt ceiling finally made me lose my ****.
2. Just get rid of this HORRRRRRRRRRRRIBLE romance between Jim and Maggie and Don and Lisa (and now ****ing Sloane????). Let them just date who they're dating and let us never hear of it again.
3. Stop making Mac into this ridiculous out of control woman who, at a moments notice, will fly completely off the handle and act like a petulant child. Oh, and have her stop acting like a puppy begging for a treat anytime Will gives her just a little opening. Either walk through that door or don't.
4. Keep the death threat angle but not as a season long "will he be or won't he be shot" arc. Have an investigation going on with some dramatic elements.
5. For the love of God please have more scenes with Jeff Daniels and his Lorraine Bracco. Bringing that in towards the end really made me want to watch more.
6. Lastly, make this group have to miss a story because they finally found one where they aren't connected to the best possible connection anyone could hope for.
Hurm. Finally watched True Blood finale'. All that good work shot right in the ass. Goodbye Russell, yeah...strongest/oldest vamp...all powerful...blink-and-you-miss-it. Starting to like Eric more than I ever did though. Bill, wouldn't be terrible if he is the new big bad(with the requisite ****ty ending). Imagine he & Sookie are done for. Kind of a shame, but hard to care. Pam & Tara...meh. Seems a little contrived, but ok. Sam and Luna, once again...who give's a rats ass. Sam was the best character on the show but years of neglect and bad storylines have made me indifferent. Sheriff Andy and the quads, for the love of Benjy...WHO CARES. Nice to see Lafayette's return to being an annoying stereotype. And Jason. What the hell is going on there...oh wait...who gives a ****. It won't ever matter. Feel bad for Jessica simply because she is the only character I still even remotely care about. I'm sure they will wear that down fast enough too. What a waste of time. Nice 'eruption' from inside of Sharon Osborne. Would love to see that happen on America's got Talent. What a pile of **** show. And now cue season 7 so that I can get my hopes up again, just to have them furiously smashed on the alter of potential. I do want to know what was in those Cajun Margs though.

Maybe you guys can move the damned story along instead of dicking around so much.In an interview with TVGuide, creator Alan Ball revealed that True Blood's renewal isn't all it's cracked up to be. The show's usual 12-episode order was cut due to several factors, one of them being star Anna Paquin's (Sookie) pregnancy. "We're moving production to January to accommodate her," said Ball.
If you noticed, toward the end of last season Sookie's tight shirts and short shorts were M.I.A. But she's not the only reason True Blood is taking a hit. Ball continued, "There will only be 10 shows next season, partly because of Anna and partly because of the economics."
and like one of the infected in 28 Days Later... we'll ALL be back again.
My sadness at the departure of Breaking Bad for a year is lessened by the upcoming return of Boardwalk Empire.
