The Men of Boardwalk Empire: Explained -- Vulture
Yeah...the Van Alden story sure went into a direction I don't think any of us could have imagined. How long till he slips his leash. Speaking of which, when Rosetti walked the hallway, nekkid, panting and with that belt around his throat he sure made Nuck's 'what do you do with a mad dog?' comment come to life. I missed the preview for next week. Is Rosetti aware that Rothstein/Lucchiano were on the end of that hit...or does he go straight to Nucky? I have to say...the show has never been better. I know he's got a finite run...but I hope they keep Rosetti around as long as possible. Fascinating character. Hell, almost any show could use him. I want him on Walking Dead. Imagine that.
ya, it looked like rosetti goes for nucky. it made it seem like foreshadowing when nucky dropped by the house to check on margaret and the kids and her first response was "are we in trouble? is there a reason why you have to check on us?"
i thought gillian knew her son was dead. or is she just in some cuckoo bats*** denial? i thought she knew jimmy was taken out and that she was just pretending he was out of town in case other people didn't know what happened to him. in a previous episode when lucciano and she discussed the money to fix up her whorehouse, he didn't seem to respond to her claim that jimmy was out of town like he thought that was unusual... but then she's writing that letter to jimmy and i'm like "whhhaaaa...?"
I was originally bent by that...but she may actually be more of a nutter than previously imagined. Or just in really bad denial.
As far as Rosetti going after Nuck's family, that was pretty much foreshadowed at that party in the premiere. Gonna take a guess and say that one of Margaret's blinkandyou'llmissem kids are not going to make it to season 3. That seems to be the asking price for either bringing the 2 of them(Mags and Nuck) back together or driving them further apart. For some reason I don't think Owen is long for this world either. Poor Eli, flinching and apologizing when he interrupted Nucky...how much of that is Eli being the 'good' brother?
There's some serious ****ing acting going on in Boardwalk Empire, so impressed by it all.
that's right. i think that was the first clue and with nucky's checking in on them this last episode, it was more of an imminent type of foreshadowing.
"lucy danziger... ever heard of her? the next one won't hear about you either." that's another one that stuck out at me.
