looks like gillian is finally accepting the truth... buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, she is f***ing disgusting.
i knew margaret would do that again. i thought for sure something else was going to happen before she walked in to the greenhouse though.
i'm interested in if that lawyer lady'll end up helping nucky. (probably).
Gillian is getting more twisted by the episode. Awesome.
Last night(Boardwalk) was solid. Felt good for Eli. The 'juggling' moment between Margaret and Nucky was actually very sad. It would be nice if Harrow could find some happiness, his matter of fact death threat was simply awesome. And watching Rosetti get worked over by his wife/mother in law/boss filled in a lot of blanks as far as explaining his temper and taking the most insecure sleight as a condemnation. The easter egg hunt...poor little polio kid. Don't know why, but Eli's oldest stepping up moved me a bit. Can't help but feel there is some major sadness in store for that family. Gillian is just...wow. I worry for her grandson. A lot. Glad that Capone is coming back next episode, they have been ignoring a LOT of characters.
Worry about him? Ha! The kid's a lost cause as far as I'm concerned, he's got no chance with THAT bringing him up. I have a feeling things will end badly for Harrow as well. Gillian's a cancer. The only hope for both of them is Luciano getting pissed at her and killing her. But he's nowhere near as unhinged as Gyp. Now, Gyp and Gillian is a pairing I would just love to see. One nutjob deserves another.
Finally caught up with Boardwalk Empire and I'm glad that I did. I was on the fence for a while after the first season but I thought the second was excellent and the third is solid so far. Rosetti is a loose cannon of legendary proportions, every time there's a scene with him I'm waiting for anything to set him off. Van Alden is hilarious, he's almost like an alien trying his best to adopt and blend into human society but he can't quite understand it all. Him pretending to laugh at his boss' joke a few episodes ago was brilliant. Harrow seems capable of anything in his cold, contemplating ways. A really interesting character. Nucky has almost done a Walter White on us and is becoming very hard to sympathize with, when he blew that kids head off even his murdering henchman flinched.
Glad to see they got picked up for another season too.
You know...I don't think he's gone all Breaking Bad yet. Unlike Walter White Nuck still seems to be playing at big man, and at times half heartedly. This weeks...the charming 'family' Nuck, and his warming towards his brother, and trying with Margaret. Not to mention the way he tells the 'actress' that if he could have his way he would just stay there with her. He made mention the other night of all the money he lost and at the beginning of the season divested himself from the booze at least compacting his business to one customer. I see none of that in Walter. If anything he thrives on the outlaw...he is nothing if not Heisenberg. Nucky still has a foot planted on the other side of the fence.
ya, spitting image of his mother. wow.
that scene in the tub was just cray cray. at first, i thought she was going to diddle him like he was little jimmy darmody but then that happens. what's the deal though, did they never have jimmy's body in the first place? like i mentioned earlier, it didn't seem like everyone (luciano) knew he was dead. with her providing a body, now she can inherit that place in her name.
and ya, i agree. nucky can be cold, but i think he had a justifiable reason for killing that kid. the kid didn't seem all that trustworthy and he did steal from him. i think owen was just shocked because he thought nucky had gone soft and was going to let him go. i also agree that moment between margaret and him was sad.
haha, ya!
