The past four years have proven that REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA is more than a film—it’s a cinematic experience, one that has grown an army of rabid fans. The REPO! Army has continuously nurtured the film, giving REPO! its righteous place in cult cinema history and finding homes for shadow-casts and late night showings in art house theatres world-wide. These events, along with Bousman and Zdunich’s undying need to reach back into the macabre, have spawned their new horror-rock hybrid THE DEVIL’S CARNIVAL. With their signature flare for merging the worlds of horror and rock music, Bousman and Zdunich join forces again to fire up an underworld unlike any other in this genre-bending, groundbreaking new cinema road tour.
THE DEVIL’S CARNIVAL features twelve original songs, written by Zdunich and Saar Hendelman, directed by Bousman, produced by Sean E Demott and Joseph Bishara (Insidious), and stars Victoriandustrial rocker Emilie Autumn, Dayton Callie (Sons Of Anarchy, Deadwood), M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan (of the Grammy award winning, cult metal giants Slipknot), Briana Evigan (Step Up 2), Sean Patrick Flanery (The Boondock Saints), Maggie “Captain Maggot” Lally and The Blessed Contessa (of The Bloody Crumpets), J. LaRose (Insidious), Jessica Lowndes (90210), Mighty Mike (of Mini Kiss), internet star Hannah Minx, Ivan Moody (of the chart-topping heavy metal band Five Finger Death Punch), Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects), Ogre (of the legendary industrial band Skinny Puppy), Marc Senter (The Lost), Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas), Alexa Vega (Spy Kids), and Terrance Zdunich.
In THE DEVIL’S CARNIVAL, sinners are invited to a theme park where they endure the repetition of their transgressions. What chances do a conniving kleptomaniac, a gullible teenager, and an obsessed father stand when facing their own moral failings? Lucifer and his colorful cast of singing carnies invite you to grab a ticket to THE DEVIL’S CARNIVAL to find out!

Etan Cohen Will Direct BOY SCOUTS VS. ZOMBIES
If you don't think this sounds fun...I fart in your general direction. In the past few years, popular culture has pitted zombies against increasingly ludicrous foes such as Jane Austen heroine Elizabeth Bennet and Jesse Eisenberg. Next in line for some tongue-in-cheek dueling with the undead: the Boy Scouts of America. And today, Heat Vision brings news that Boy Scouts vs. Zombies will mark the directorial debut of Etan Cohen, long-time King of The Hill scribe and writer of big-screen fare like Tropic Thunder and the forthcoming Men in Black 3. Described as a horror-comedy, the Paramount project will center on a group of boy scouts saving a group of girl scouts from…well, you know. Suggested tagline: “They weren’t prepared for this.” Hit the jump for more.
The original script, from Carrie Evans and Emi Mochizuki, made the 2010 Hollywood Blacklist, which tracks the industry’s best unproduced screenplays. Drop Dead Gorgeous writer Lona Williams has been tapped to do a second draft.
Presumably, in the new version, the leader of the scouts (let’s call him Dick) will spend the first hour and a half of the film agonizing about the morality of risking everyone’s lives to save the girls (who may or may not be infected with zombie germs and cooties), while his best friend Dwayne, who’s just hit puberty, angrily rubs his head a lot and accuses Dick of not having what it takes to protect the troupe; in a shocking twist, Dwayne will then kill kindly but weak fellow scout Clotis to save himself when a mission to retrieve the snacks cooler from their old campsite goes bad. It’s just how zombie stories are told these days.

BD Horror News - Autonomy Pictures Comes Out Playing 'The Bunny Game'
When we last heard any news about Adam Rehmeier's The Bunny Game, it had been rejected for home video release by the BBFC who stated, "It is the Board's carefully considered view that to issue a certificate to this work, even if confined to adults, would be inconsistent with the Board’s Guidelines, would risk potential harm within the terms of the Video Recordings Act, and would accordingly be unacceptable to the public."
Rehmeier responded to Bloody Disgusting at the time stating: "I think 'The Bunny Game' is way less disturbing than 'Pretty Woman'. Somehow it's more socially acceptable to glamorize prostitution under the guise of a rags-to-riches fairy tale where Richard Gere falls in love with the whore by the end of the film." He continues, "Rodleen and I didn't make 'The Bunny Game' to glamorize prostitution. It is far from an erotic film. It is a modern cautionary tale grounded in reality."
The film was eventually released in the UK and will hit the US in July from new distributor Autonomy, who will make the film their first release. Per Screen Daily, "Derek Curl, David Gregory and Lewis Tice’s new distributor aims to release “uncompromising cinema on a worldwide scale” and will handle four films this year, starting with Adam Rehmeier’s torture porn. "'The Bunny Game' is the last word on the torture-porn sub-genre,” Autonomy president Curl said. “I was shocked by its audacity and the raw honesty that it depicted, making me question our collective enjoyment of extreme violence in cinema. At Autonomy Pictures we are not afraid to release such a film, which will undoubtedly inspire heated reaction, because it will allow audiences to make up their own minds."
Bunny Games follows a female prostitute (Rodleen Getsic) who hitches a lift with a truck driver. The truck driver (Jeff Renfro) kidnaps the woman, restrains and forcibly strips her, and proceeds to physically and sexually abuse and humiliate her.
Julian Richards negotiated the deal on behalf of the filmmakers, "“It’s great to see the launch of the new genre label Autonomy Pictures. And I think that the acquisition of Adam Rehmeier’s uber-controversial The Bunny Game is a bold statement of intent."
BD Horror News - [SXSW '12] UPDATE: Prom Night Goes To ***** On 'The Loved Ones' Poster, Gets Distribution Via TUGG!
Hooray. Seriously, this movie is like 5 or 6 years old. I saw a region 2 copy of it a while back and it's good, not great. Prom Night meets TCM basically. Like another great film I saw years ago now 'The Revenant' I cannot understand what these creators are holding out for. So...you think you made a great movie, what good is that if nobody sees it. Get a deal, get it out there. Let people start talking about it. If you are looking for a million dollar payday on your first film...it ain't gonna happen.
