Lovely Molly Blu-ray

In August, Image Home Entertainment will bring Lovely Molly to Blu-ray. Directed by Eduardo Sanchez (The Blair Witch Project), this chiller stars Gretchen Lodge, in her film debut, as a young woman haunted by bizarre and terrifying visions.

From Sony's official synopsis:

"When newlywed Molly Reynolds (Lodge) moves back into her long-abandoned childhood home, she begins to experience unnerving and impossible things. What starts as a simple story about things that go bump in the night escalates into a battle for dominion over Molly's spirit, as she is beset by a cunning, malevolent force bent on wreaking havoc and terror on Molly and her family."

Image's Blu-ray presents the film in a 1.78:1 aspect ratio with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. The distributor has not yet listed any bonus supplements.

Lovely Molly is expected to street on August 28th.

That's a rent or a pass only. Supposed to be bad stuff happens to people you barely care about...in the last 10 minutes kind of movie.

SINISTER Movie Trailer Starring Ethan Hawke

R rated. Ok. Hawke/D'onofrio. Ok. Great use of sound, some good jump scares and some bendytwisty and that's just in the trailer. Like the looks of this one.

V/H/S Poster is Clever and Familiar | Shock Till You Drop

Magnolia has released the poster for V/H/S, which premiered at Sundance and features the works of filmmakers Adam Wingard, Ti West, David Bruckner, Glenn McQuaid, Joe Swanberg and the team known as Radio Silence.

The poster, to me at least, is a nice throwback to Visiting Hours, although the two films are vastly different, of course.

The film is making its way to VOD on August 31st and then rolling into a limited theatrical run on October 5th. Head inside for a larger look at the poster.

Hurm...sounds like they are going a little 'American Horror Story' with the concept. It was a decent small movie, I don't know if it merits a franchise even if it's in name only, but I wish the Hammer brand success. At least they are starting small and staying with what Hammer was known for in their day.
