Forget ‘Twilight,’ Lionsgate Tinkering With Remaking ‘Saw’ Franchise… | | Bloody DisgustingBloody Disgusting
I don't know...I can't really claim surprise or anger. But...SPOILERS...I thought they were headed in a nice direction with Cary Elwes leading a cult of Saw victim/survivors. It made sense as far as the work involved and I think there is some story to be mined there. If they do reboot do they bring back Tobin Bell, recast John/Jigsaw or simply go in another direction entirely? Regardless, make no mistake, the reason they are trying to get this back on track is because the October/Halloween slot is owned by Paranormal Activity right now. With the fourth in the franchise coming up, there is money to be had. Especially if PA4 is lousy.
More Horror Titles from Kino's Redemption Label
Later this month, Kino Video's Redemption label will bring three cult genre favorites to Blu-ray: Black Magic Rites, The Living Dead Girl, and Two Orphan Vampires. These titles offer a gothic - and decidedly European - perspective to such classic horror tropes as satanic cults, flesh-eating zombies, and bloodsucking vampires.
Didn't they make a new Scream? They can spoof that?
Seriously, there probably gonna spoof stuff like found footage.
No, they are spoofing Black Swan and Rise of the Planet of the Apes. No...really. Read the article.
Then why call it Sca... never mind. I don't care.
