Fans of the anthology film The Theatre Bizarre are about to find themselves being really, really, happy as the names of the directors who will serve as participants of its sequel have just come to light. Read on!

Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Olivier Abbou, Xavier Gens, Lucile Hadzihalilovic, Pascal Laugier, Talal Selhami, Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo have all been tapped for The Theatre Bizarre 2: Grand Guignol.

Yep! An all French feast is on its way!

“After the critical success of the first Theatre Bizarre anthology, it felt only natural to follow yp with another serving of more over-the-top, brutal, visionary, envelope-pushing tales. And this time, carte blanche was given to the creme de la creme of French directors, who were all very happy to take Grand Guignol back to its original birthplace.”

Oh, outstanding. This was one of my faves from last year and as far as anthologies go so far superior the the horrible V/H/S. And an all French sequel. Not a big fan of the land of waiters but man they sure have mads some great horror flicks over the last decade.

The Burning and The Town That Dreaded Sundown Announced

Scream Factory, the horror-thriller offshoot of independent film distributor Shout Factory, has detailed its upcoming Blu-ray releases of Charles B. Pierce's The Town That Dreaded Sundown (1976) and Tony Maylam's The Burning (1981). Both will street on May 21.

Both movies debut for the first time on Blu-ray. The Burning will be presented as a Collector's Edition Blu-ray + DVD Combo pack that boasts insightful bonus content, and a reversible wrap with original theatrical key art. The Town That Dreaded Sundown Blu-ray + DVD Combo Pack contains director Charles B. Pierce's rare cult movie classic The Evictor as a bonus movie presentation on the DVD, plus more extras to be announced at a later date.
