I have a copy with both Motel Hell & Deranged. I bought it for the latter, but the former was more amusing.

I watched Motel Hell not that long ago and wasn't as enthused with it as I was hoping. But when I think about the **** that happened in that movie, it seems much greater than I remember thinking at the time. So I dunno.

    That chainsaw scene, though...

Updated: Universal Shelves Blumhouse's 'Mercy', Still Tinkering With 'Mockingbird'... -

Hurm. Universal is ****ing with the cheap bird that feathers the nest. They went sideways on Joe Carnahan's STRETCH which, I think was part of this partnership too...Blumhouse oughtta follow Legendary out the door.

Here’s the official synopsis for Oculus:

Ten years ago, tragedy struck the Russell family, leaving the lives of teenage siblings Tim and Kaylie forever changed when Tim was convicted of the brutal murder of their parents. Now in his 20s, Tim is newly released from protective custody and only wants to move on with his life; but Kaylie, still haunted by that fateful night, is convinced her parents’ deaths were caused by something else altogether: a malevolent supernatural force¬¬ unleashed through the Lasser Glass, an antique mirror in their childhood home. Determined to prove Tim’s innocence, Kaylie tracks down the mirror, only to learn similar deaths have befallen previous owners over the past century. With the mysterious entity now back in their hands, Tim and Kaylie soon find their hold on reality shattered by terrifying hallucinations, and realize, too late, that their childhood nightmare is beginning again…

4K Restoration of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Heading to U.S. Theaters

MPI/Dark Sky Films are planning to release in theaters across the United States a brand new 4K restoration of director Tobe Hooper's classic horror film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974), starring Marilyn Burns, Edwin Neal, and Allen Danziger. The new 4K restoration will be introduced at the The South by Southwest Film Festival this coming Monday.

While discussing the new restoration with Entertainment Weekly director Hooper noted: "It's great on the big screen. It's in 7.1 sound that completely wraps around you and in 4K [resolution]. The film works as well, if not better, than it originally did."

The new 4K restoration of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre was done at NOLO Digital Film in Chicago and was overseen by Todd Wieneke of Dark Sky Films.

The new 4K restoration will be arrive in theaters across the United States later this Summer.
