Adgy and JD didn't see Human Centipide? Are you peeps gon' soft?
The first one we saw together...can you say popcorn trick...but the second one, damned midnight shows...during October. Sorry, getting too old for that ****. Personally I am waiting for the unrated blu, I like seeing stuff in theaters but watching at home, in your demented bunny slippers, is my preferred method.
Excuses, excuses, excuses.
I haven't seen either, but that's me.![]()
Oh Orph...you gotta see the first. It's so subtle in it's graphic violence. It's got the best 'ACTING' performance since Jeffrey Coombs as Dr Herbert West. I still remember watching it with Adge & Kq, and she FINALLY tapped out during the centipede's escape attempt down the staircase, with bleeding bandages and leaking stitches, and she shouted..."ok, that's enough" or something to that effect. And me and Adge laughed so hard that that was the breaking point for her. There is such a drinking game somewhere in this flick.
Poor Adgy! :(
How dare life get in the way of watching A-T-M experiments gone wrong.![]()
Lars Von Trier’s Nymphomaniac To Be Released As Not One, Not Two But Four Separate Films | Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors
Wait, what?
Ok, that's not quite as bad, I guess...First of all, there’s going to be two chapters, each given its own full length film. Producer Peter Aalbęk Jensen told Screen Daily:
We are making two films. It is a big operation. I personally hope that we should be ready for Cannes next year. We will shoot both and edit both – and we want to finish both at the same time.
And, for the second “thing,” there’s to be two versions of each film. The subject matter of the film is to be “the erotic life of a woman from the age of zero to 50,” and as we’ve previously heard, there are to be both hardcore and softcore versions shot.
Which is to say, Von Trier is making a pornographic film, in the sense that he’ll be showing genuine sex acts on screen, but there will also be a “softer” version.
According to Jensen, this alteration is likely to be acheived through on-screen blurring:
We will probably blur the central points of the human body for the release worldwide but we will probably make one unblurred that will be for screening maybe in Cannes.
And hopefully beyond Cannes.
I finally caught Melancholia on Netflix. I think I hated it... maybe. I honestly don't know. I've been pondering the film for days. I guess that means I actually loved it?
Nicole Kidman Will Reportedly Reunite With Lars Von Trier For A Small Role In 'The Nymphomaniac' | The Playlist
Sounds like Lars Von Trier, all right. And indeed, details thus far about "The Nymphomaniac" are under the radar except for this tantalizing official synopsis: NYMPHOMANIAC is the light and poetic story of a woman's erotic journey from birth to the age of 50 as told by the main character, the self-‐diagnosed nymphomaniac, Joe. On a cold winter's evening Seligman, an old bachelor, finds Joe semi‐unconscious and beaten up in an alleyway. After bringing her to his flat he sees to her wounds while trying to understand how things could have gone so wrong for her. He listens intently as she over the next 8 chapters recounts the lushly branched-‐out and multi faceted story of her life, rich in associations and interjecting incidents.
Yup, that's him.Lensing is set to get underway this summer, and in case you forgot, the movie will arrive in both hardcore and softcore variations, with porn actor doubles being used for the raunchy stuff. So yeah, just when we think Lars Von Trier is moving right, he turns left, so we're very curious to see how this one turns out.
