Just found this neat little article...

25 Spectacular Movies You (Probably) Haven’t Seen | High Existence

and realized that we could use another category. Things like 100 Greatest Pop Songs, 50 Greatest Performances by Actors in Drag, etc. You get the idea...

Anyway, this is a good little list and I may check out a few of these that I haven't seen but to call it ...you probably haven't seen is a little odd. Some of these are fairly standard.

Also, to anyone who has seen ONCE, is it as good as I am always hearing? It seems like one of those soooo well loved flicks that has no possibility of living up to the hype.

Really Adgy? You must have seen ONCE. Should I commit. I am a sucker for a good love story...what can you tell me about this flick? BTW, just thinking about the Fountain gets me all weepy...the little blurb for that flick is SO on the money.

The 4 of the 5 I've seen get a recommendation, for sure. Haven't seen The Loved Ones yet, though.

Shamefully...the only one of these I have not yet seen is The Devils Backbone. Pontypool I have gone on and on about, truly one of the best horror movies of the past decade. Funny Games was truly a horror, yet a little too close to real life for me. Made it more horrible and very icky. Martyrs I have also weighed in on. The Loved Ones, which shamefully is still only available on import...probably does not belong on this list. I may be the wrong person to ask because I waited 2 years to see this and, in the end it was fairly standard stuff. I should watch it again to see if maybe my expectations were just too high.
